Is there a method with pools to update (install new apps or updates) a
"golden image" and have those updates propagate to a pool?  Seems currently
you have to create a new template from the image and then create a new pool.

current check is for cpu family, it doesn't cover VT being disabled by 
bios (which is what i understood you failed on, and simply need to 
enable at bios and do a cold boot)

So cpu in fact does pass validation?  Could my issue be the network
interface name - p1p1?  Usually it's em1 but on this machine for some
reason was named differently..

Current virt-v2v doesn't support ova files.  It can only import from
live ESX instances.

I'm sure that you may need more methods, as this was POC code, so we only put the minimum required.
It was based on FOLSOM, so if you're working with a more updated version then the interfaces might have changed.
I did that a few months ago, so I currently don't have an environment in which I can test that. However, from the errors it looks like it is an environmental issue, as it didn't even get to the driver (it says it failed to schedule the cinder command).

We do have a description in the repository for Fedora and Windows 
targets, however we don't have yet a description for other Linux 
distributions than Fedora since we haven't supported it yet.
There has been some work done for supporting other distribution targets 
however without single sign on support.

The "internal" domain is a special build-in domain, with one admin user, and you can't add users to it.

How to add another < at >internal user

I'd like to add another user to my ovirt engine 3.2, but all means fail
somehow. I installed the engine from
http://www.dreyou.org/ovirt/ovirt-engine32/ on centos6 and created a
local pgsql database, no IPA.

How can I add another user?

SO far I have tried:

engine-manage-domains -action=add -domain=internal -user=admin< at >internal
-provider=RHDS -interactive
engine-manage-domains -action=add -domain=internal -provider='RHDS'
-user='nagios' -interactive
engine-manage-domains -action=add -domain=axonpro.sk -user=nagios
-provider=LDAP -interactive -addPermissions


PS: we have a separate LDAP server for our domain, Ideally i'd like to
use the credentials from that, but local users is OK too.

The old bootstrap code indeed has virtEnabledInCpuAndBios().
ovirt-host-deploy has a parallel VdsmEnv.CHECK_VIRT_HARDWARE optional
check.

We don't have a EL6 version due to the fact that the guest agent needs 
in its current 3.2 shape the GDM sources available for building the SSO 
(single sign on) modules. In Fedora 17 and 18 this was no problem so far 
due to the fact that there were extra devel libraries for GDM plugins.

The master branch of the ovirt-guest-agent has already the possibility 
to disable the SSO module for building. This is needed for a few other 
linux targets. However this will be available with ovirt 3.3.

ok, that's one part of cpu validation for the cpu model. VDSM (or the 
old bootstrap code) was also supposed to have one for VT enabled in bios.
