Roit,

I have applied the patch. When i do a 'fixed issue 16' i seem to be getting too many emails.. I get 4. I can explain atleast 2 as the reported and the assignee both have the same addy (me because i am testing!) and i put this down to why i got 2 emails when i test the comment adding function.. but 4 emails when it is flagged as resolved is abit much.

Any clues?

Right I think i have solved half of the issue. I applied both the patches didn't realise I was only meant to apply 'bug8936.patch' so the fixed issue is now solved i got 2 emails as expected. But no emails on a comment(bug notes)? as before.. i'd like that so the reporter is notified....

<description>Hi, I have been trying to perfect integration between Mantis/Subversion and following the wise words of this:

http://alt-tag.com/blog/archives/2006/11/integrating-mantis-and-subversion/

as well as other sources on the internet.

But i have found an oddity. if x creates a bug and assigns it to y. When y marks it as resolved/fixed x is emailed to that effect.

BUT when you have integration set up if x creates a fault and y does a commit saying 'fixed bug #12' mantis IS updated correctly but no email seems to be sent to x saying it has been fixed..

Can anyone help me out here?

Thanks.

http://www.mantisbt.org/bugs/view.php?id=9606

But there has been no action - I dont mean "Why haven't you fixed it yet" more over that it hasn't been acknowledged and there have been no comments? Other faults seems to get comments quite quickly?

Have I raised it incorrectly? Has the error level of 'minor' meant it slips below radars? in hindsight i think minor is abit low can it be changed?

Thank you!

Glenn,

It may be obvious to you and other experienced admins, but I find the
setup for file uploads to very cryptic. Perhaps one of the experts
could put together a step-by-step "how to" on this topic.

For me, I had uploads working but after an OS update and a Mantis
update, the feature is again failing. It fails on a "file type" error.
So I need to walk through the settings again to make sure I have them
all in agreement. In this case, a "how to" page would help.

The manual is fine as a reference. The "how to" should be written like
a take-apart guide.

If I felt confident in my understanding of the settings I would offer
a draft, but given I am again struggling to restore the feature, I
think I should defer to a more knowledgeable person.

The curious thing with my problem is i couldn't get the 'max size' that is printed when you want to upload a file to increase. If it was some 'under the hood' value then surely this face value would change, but the actual upload would fail?

I'll try again, if I find the time. Otherwise if you just take a fresh
mantis 1.1.2 install you might also see these problems.

 From memory:
The mantis version check is looking for a variable that doesn't exist
anymore, either got renamed or completely changed. After I manually
created such a variable in my config_inc.php I could continue.

The import/export plugin also had a problem with the version
check but I think it complained that my mantis was too new :)

I don't know anymore if it was import or export but the scripts
failed completely because it wanted to call some unexisting
function (probably also available only in older mantis versions).
I couldn't make much of the message.

Deinstalling the plugin and the manager also failed, I don't know
the reason anymore. Leftover files are not that much a problem,
but it also left a config setting in the database for the new
menu options. That took me a while until I found it and could
delete it.

That's all I can remember. Thanks for your work.
