<pre>Version 1.8.4-1 of doxygen has been uploaded.

CHANGES:
========

This version contains support for "clang assisted parsing", which allows
the code to also be parsed via libclang (C/C++ frontend of LLVM) and can
improve the quality of the syntax highlighting, cross-references, and
call graphs, especially for template heavy C++ code. Hence, starting
with this release, doxygen is dependent on libclang.

This version also introduces an experimental feature which stores data
gathered by doxygen in a sqlite3 database. As this is still
experimental, this feature is *not enabled* in this build.

There are many other changes and improvements. For the full change log,
please see: http://www.doxygen.org/manual/changelog.html#log_1_8_4

DESCRIPTION
===========

Doxygen is a documentation system for C++, C, Java, Objective-C, Python,
IDL (Corba and Microsoft flavors), Fortran, VHDL, PHP, C#, and to some
extent D.

<pre>Hi

New versions of 'nettle/libnettle4/libhogweed2/libnettle-devel' have been uploaded to a server near you.

nettle NEWS:
===============

This release includes an implementation of elliptic curve
cryptography (ECC) and optimizations for the ARM architecture.
This work was done at the offices of South Pole AB, and
generously funded by the .SE Internet Fund.

Bug fixes:

* Fixed a bug in the buffer handling for incremental SHA3
  hashing, with a possible buffer overflow. Patch by Edgar
  E. Iglesias.

New features:

* Support for ECDSA signatures. Elliptic curve operations over
  the following curves: secp192r1, secp224r1, secp256r1,
  secp384r1 and secp521r1, including x86_64 and ARM assembly
  for the most important primitives.

* Support for UMAC, including x86_64 and ARM assembly.

* Support for 12-round salsa20, "salsa20r12", as specified by
  eSTREAM. Contributed by Nikos Mavrogiannopoulos.

Optimizations:

* ARM assembly code for several additional algorithms,
  including AES, Salsa20, and the SHA family of hash
  functions.

* x86_64 assembly for SHA256, SHA512, and SHA3. (SHA3 assembly
          was included in the 2.6 release, but disabled due to poor
          performance on some AMD processors. Hopefully, that
          performance problem is fixed now).

The ARM code was tested and benchmarked on Cortex-A9. Some of
the functions use "neon" instructions. The configure script
decides if neon instructions can be used, and the command line
options --enable-arm-neon and --disable-arm-neon can be used
to override its choice. Feedback appreciated.

The libraries are intended to be binary compatible with
nettle-2.2 and later. The shared library names are
libnettle.so.4.6 and libhogweed.so.2.4, with sonames still
libnettle.so.4 and libhogweed.so.2.

Vim is an advanced text editor that seeks to provide the power of the
de-facto Unix editor 'Vi', with a more complete feature set and a choice
of terminal and GTK+ interfaces. (The x86_64 gvim package uses Motif
for now due to unsatisfied dependencies.)

This is an update to the latest upstream patchset, and changes the
packaging scheme to be closer to Fedora's:

* The new vim-minimal package provides /usr/bin/ex and /usr/bin/vi, is
compiled with the "small" feature set, and DOES NOT DEPEND ON vim-common.
* The vim and gvim binaries now have support for lua, perl, python,
python3, and ruby dynamic interfaces.
* The global configuration file is now /etc/vimrc.
* The gvimtutor script is now packaged with gvim.
* Removed usage of alternatives(8).

<pre>Hi

A new version of 'rcs' has been uploaded to a server near you.

o Update to latest upstream release
o Build for cygwin 1.7.18 with gcc-4.5.3

rcs NEWS:
=========

  - Bugs fixed

    - Wrong symbolic name dereference

RCS 5.8 introduced a bug whereby commands would incorrectly
dereference a symbolic name (into a numerical revision number)
in the presence of multiple symbolic names that share a common
prefix.  See tests/t803.

    - 'integrity' value syntax better specified

The 'integrity' value (if present) is a string composed of a
system part followed by an optional user part, with formfeed
(^L, U+0C) separating the two. Unlike other string values, the
'integrity' string (either part) must NOT contain '&lt; at &gt;' (U+40).
If it does, RCS displays a "spurious '&lt; at &gt;' in `integrity' value"
error message and exits failurefully.

This change restores interop play-space for third-party tools
that was stricken w/ the RCS 5.8 top-level grammar freeze. Left
unspecified is how such tools should divvy up the user part.

  - New manual chapter: RCS file format

This documents the RCS file format grammar and particulars,
adapted from rcsfile(5).

  - Manpages refer to info documentation

They now recommend using "info rcs" for full documentation.

  - Script to trim "junk at end of file" posted

The "junk at end of file" error occurs for some files due to RCS
5.8 being more strict about the syntax it accepts. You can use
'trimrcs' by Warren Jones:

http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/help-rcs/2013-01/msg00006.html

to remedy such files while we figure out how best to move such
functionality into RCS proper.

  - Maintenance tools updated
    - automake (GNU Automake) 1.13.1
    - gnulib-tool (GNU gnulib 2013-03-19 16:08:47) 0.0.7899-34f84
    - makeinfo (GNU Texinfo) 5.1
