According to Wikipedia, bitchx.com was hijacked and the proper site is
bitchx.ca. Don't know how trustworthy that information is, however.
Neither Debian nor Ubuntu carry bitchx, but Fedora seems to have 1.2.1,
fwiw.

I had a go with mopac7 including doing the test runs. I had a look at the output files (*.OUT) in tests and have the impression that the calculations have not really been done, because there are no orbital coefficients, orbital energies, total energies, although it prints "mopac done". Building with gcc44 or gcc48 did not make a difference. I do not really use mopac7 on a regular basis, so i am not 100% sure about this. As a reference i include the output of force.

Hello all,

Packages need to be updated by their respective maintainers. But
there's no *harm* in leaving the old dependencies. "setuptools-py27"

empty package with a dependency on setuptools-tng-py27, which is the
real modern/new library. Everything 'just works'.

These are not sufficient. What you need is /sw/include/boost/signal.hpp
and so on. The boost package explicitly has code to create the symlink
/sw/include/boost -&amp;gt; /sw/include/boost_1_46_cmake/boost
Without this symlink, things will go wrong. Do you have it?
If not, just run "fink reinstall boost1.46.1.cmake".

You mentioned that already, and I responded. Quoting my previous
message to you:

"
Could you please send me the files
/sw/src/fink.build/lyx-x11-1.6.10-44/lyx-1.6.10/config.log and
/sw/src/fink.build/lyx-x11-1.6.10-44/lyx-1.6.10/config.status ?

    <description>&lt;pre&gt;Alexander, I have /sw/include/boost_1_46_cmake/boost/signal.hpp &amp;amp; /sw/include/boost_1_46/boost/bind.hpp
and /sw/include/boost_1_1_46_cmake/boost/signals/trackable.hpp.

lyx-x11 still fails to build?

    <description>&lt;pre&gt;
That's strange ...

`--&amp;gt; dpkg -S /sw/bin/pod2man
dpkg: /sw/bin/pod2man not found.

But:

`--&amp;gt; ll /sw/bin/pod2man*
-r-xr-xr-x 1 root admin 13581 Apr 13 18:28 /sw/bin/pod2man
-r-xr-xr-x 1 root admin 13581 Apr 13 22:31 /sw/bin/pod2man-new

So they are very recent. A diff shows they are identical.

And:

`--&amp;gt; dpkg -S /sw/bin/pod2man-new
podlators-pm: /sw/bin/pod2man-new

So maybe a build-conflicts with podlators-pm is in order.

I removed podlators-pm (had to do --recursive) but /sw/bin/pod2man was
left on the system. Along with pod2texi and pod2text. pod2texi is from
texinfo so I left that alone and remove the other two.

And wireshark updated, as would be expected.

So I reinstalled podlators-pm and pod2man and pod2text didn't reappear
(just the -new versions) ... strange. So I don't know where they came
from in the first place.

But all is well now so I'm happy ...

When I try to launch TeXmacs (no-qt) the x11 screen doesn't finish
drawing and the terminal fills up with the text below, that last error
repeating.

Thanks,
