Hello dear i18n crowd,

If you followed the wheezy release cycle, you notice that, among many
other things, we had a hard "fight" to get 100% translation ratio for
several languages, when it comes at debconf templates.

Indeed, we managed to get this achieved for 8 languages : French,
Russian, German, Portuguese, Swedish, Czech, Spanish, Danish.

That requires following both the status of translation ratio in
testing AND the one in unstable, anticipating packages
transition...and tracking them, particularly during the freeze.

The best way to achieve this for a given language is tto try being as
close as possible of the 100% mark. Something anybody can follow from
there:

Still, monitoring the status of testing is also needed, both generally
for all languages (consider it my own job, with the great help of
David Prévot during wheezy release cycle) AND for each language (this
is the "job" of preferrably a language coordinator for each language).

I would like to make this as smooth as possible for jessie, from the
start.

So, first, I'd like to identify "candidates" for this. Of course, the
"Big 8" still qualify : I guess they'll all want to keep their 100%
mark, even if, for some of them, that basically relies on the effort
of ONE person.

Maybe a few other would like to try this. I'm mostly thinking about
languages that are "not too far" from 100% with a still active team:
Italian, Dutch, Japanese.

As a start, I can add them to the special testing tracking bot that
produces this:

Der er ikke nødvendigvis tale om en brugerflade i gængs forstand, og 
da jeg ikke vidste/ved hvilke programmer der var tale om, valgte jeg 
at blive ved det sikre.

Som jeg ser det, er den lette måde at komme uden om dit problem:
- omdøb /home/joe/overi/ddp/release-notes/da/upgrading.po
- kør "svn update", så versionen fra repo hentes ind igen
- sammenlign din version og den nyligt hentede version, og 
indfør/overskriv med dine ændringer
- commit igen

[Debian] Status pakkebeskrivelser

Så er vi samlet oppe på 14.093 aktive pakkeoversættelser i Debians udgivelser (cirka 805 ekstra 

oversættelser siden den 4. marts 2013). Required, Important, Standard og Popcon500 er alle på 100 
%. PopconRank er på 98 % (fra 98 %).

Der er i alt 38.104 aktive pakkebeskrivelser, så der er stadig masser af arbejde, hvis der er flere 
der ønsker at være med. Der er kun kort tid til den næste Debianudgivelse (efter planen 4-5. maj) . 
Arbejdet foregår her http://ddtp.debian.net/ddtss/index.cgi/da.

Man går i gang ved at vælge en af pakkerne under Pending translation. Eller stille sig i 
indtastningsfeltet under Fetch specific description og trykke retur (så henter robotten den næste 
prioriterede oversættelse). Man oversætter og trykker Submit, så lægges oversættelsen klar til 
korrekturlæsning.

I tentatively plan to upload the new version of the package to Debian
experimental on 2013-04-18.  However, please note that the resulting
upload will only be to experimental; new versions of the openafs package
with the changed prompts won't be uploaded to stable until after the
freeze.  Accordingly, please treat this as a lower priority than any
release-related translation work.
