Please remember that the entry fee increases by $50 after May 31, 2013.

Also, please note that t-shirt orders cannot be guaranteed after June 15,
2013. If you wish to order an NSC t-shirt with your entry, please be sure
to submit your entry by June 15. You may also order additional t-shirts on

quantities if you would like to do so. After June 15, orders will be
subject to availability. We will order a small number of additional
t-shirts to have on hand at the NSC, but there will be no second order this

The tournament is closing in on 350 entrants, with 341 signed up as of this
writing. We are expecting a great turnout, and encourage you to be part of
the action.
Because a staff member needed to withdraw, we have an opening on staff for a
Division Assistant. If you, or someone you know, are interested in the

Also, we still need a number of challenge computers during the tournament,

33 year old musician Dan Feyer has taken over from young prodigy Tyler Hinman
as the Nigel Richards of crosswords. He says that he hasn't tried scrabble because
he doesn't want the scrabble word list competing for space with his crossword words.
He got into competitive crosswords a few years ago after seeing the movie Wordplay
whose cast includes Tyler Hinman and our Trip Payne. At the last scrabble tourney
in Vegas Trip told me he no longer cometes in crossword competitions but still constructs them.

I don't understand why the sponsors would choose a name that clearly is less prestigious than World Scrabble Championship, nor do I think that the best-of-three semifinals is a good idea. The prize money looks like it's going total less than half of what it was. Nevertheless, I'm going! Does anyone know what hotel the tournament is going to be held at?
