Abschaltung von Mailinglisten [Fwd: Important announcement (if you have an openoffice.org email address)]

Hallo zusammen,

https://blogs.apache.org/OOo/entry/retirement_of_openoffice_org_email

ooo-users-de-subscribe-d1GL8uUpDdXTxqt0kkDzDmD2FQJk+8+b< at >public.gmane.org

WELCOME to ooo-users-de-d1GL8uUpDdXTxqt0kkDzDmD2FQJk+8+b< at >public.gmane.org

können, also falls nötig einfach fragen.

willkommen.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen
Regina

For several years the OpenOffice.org project provided openoffice.org
addresses to project volunteers. An email forwarder, hosted by the
project, took email sent to these openoffice.org aliases and forwarded
them to the user's real email address.

If you have and use such an openoffice.org email address, then please
read the following page for important information about the retirement
of this email forwarding service:

https://blogs.apache.org/OOo/entry/retirement_of_openoffice_org_email

If you do not have such an openoffice.org email address, then no
action is required.

Thank you,

Rob Weir, Apache OpenOffice Project Management Committee

The ooo-dev< at >incubator.apache.org list is the official project list for
the Apache OpenOffice project. Although it has "dev" in the name, you
can think of it as the general project list for Apache OpenOffice.
We're trying to avoid the fragmentation that can occur when you have
300 different mailing lists.

On ooo-dev we are very tolerant of non-native English speakers. In
fact, the majority of project members speak something other than
English as their native tongue. But it is important, for working
together, that we have a common list and mode of communication and are
able to achieve a critical mass of activity.

That said, we are open to creating other lists where need is
demonstrated, and where there are volunteers to help moderate the
lists. Proposals should be made to the ooo-dev< at >incubator.apache.org
mailing list.

Regards,

-Rob

Please note: The time has come for this list to be retired. It will
be shutdown on or soon after March 15th. All of the legacy
OpenOffice.org email lists will be shutdown at that time.

The good news is that we have an equivalent list for Apache OpenOffice
and you are welcome to subscribe to that list.

To join the new list, send an email to
ooo-dev-subscribe< at >incubator.apache.org. This should be done from the
email account where you want to receive the list messages.

This will generate a confirmation email which will be sent to your
email address. You will need to reply to the confirmation email in
order to complete your subscription to the new list.

To send posts to the new list, you will mail them to the following
address: ooo-dev< at >incubator.apache.org

And if you ever want to unsubscribe to the new list, you can do so by
sending an email to: ooo-dev-unsubscribe< at >incubator.apache.org

Endspurt Version 3.4

Hallo zusammen

https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OOOUSERS/AOO+3.4+Unofficial+Developer+Snapshots

Alle
Builds sind multilingual.

Gruss Raphael

you are right, it only occurs when the extension I am working on is

So at least that gives me some sort of an idea. I suppose I will have to
throw out parts of the extension until the problem disappears.

Thanks anyway!

I don't succeed reproduce your problem nor with OOo 3.3.0, neither with LibreOffice 3.4.5.

Are you able to reproduce the problem on request ?
Are you doing something special when you delete the formula ?

Which version of OOo are you using ?

Regards
Thibault.

Objet: [dev] XTextContent problem

Hello,

I execute the following basic macro on a text document:

xFormula = ThisComponent.createInstance("com.sun.star.text.TextEmbeddedObject")

xFormula.setPropertyValue("CLSID", "078B7ABA-54FC-457F-8551-6147e776a997")
xFormula.setPropertyValue("AnchorType", 1)

xTextViewCursor = ThisComponent.getCurrentController().getViewCursor()
xDocumentText = xTextViewCursor.getText()
xModelCursor = xDocumentText.createTextCursorByRange(xTextViewCursor.getEnd())

xDocumentText.insertTextContent(xModelCursor, xFormula, true)

This successfully inserts an empty smath formula in the document.

Now I do this:

1. Delete the formula
2. Undo the deletion
3. Copy the formula
4. Paste the formula

and I get a little box saying "Object1" in red type, but not formula!!!

What am I doing wrong? Needless to say, this behaviour does not occur
when I create the formula through the UI. And I thought I was following
the devguide with my macro code.

Thanks for any ideas!
Jan Rheinländer

Do you really want to work with OpenOffice.org code? You should know,
that Apache got the license to continue development under Apache
License, Version 2.0. And that the LibreOffice project continues
development under MPL 1.1 / GPLv3+ / LGPLv3+. So you should base your
work on that versions. The old code of OpenOffice.org is still available
but not maintained anymore.

You can get the code together with every release. Look into the same
directory, where you downloaded the product. There you will find the source.

Or you check it out from the actual repository from Apache [1] or
LibreOffice [2].

[1] http://incubator.apache.org/openofficeorg/source.html
[2] http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/ (Scroll down to 'Clone')

Besides that, I do not know what you want to do. If you want to use
functions from Calc, you can do that via API and need no source.

This list will be shout down in near future. You should ask on
ooo-dev< at >incubator.apache.org or on libreoffice< at >lists.freedesktop.org

I would like to try and change those functions in order to run them in
parallel processes using MPI or OpenMP.
Where can i get the source code for OpenOffice and how do i find the add

If you know any similar attempts to parallelize those or another OpenOffice

help you can offer.

Thank you,

1. OLE object (formula) has been pasted

I registered a Listener at the XTextContent but that only catches

You may want to post a follow-up message there, telling us what o/s you

time for me to create the installer which will be delivered to users.

To do so, I need to know the necessary dependencies (DLLs, executables, ...)

Thank you in advance for your answers.

The code from Apache projects is available for all to use, including
LibreOffice. The license allows this and the FSF says that the Apache
license is compatible with GPLv3:

http://www.gnu.org/licenses/license-list.html#apache2

Also, LibreOffice developers are already looking at areas where they
can take improvements we've made in Apache OpenOffice, such as our new
native SVG support:

http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/libreoffice/2011-December/021884.html

So we are contributing to LibreOffice, and IMHO this is wonderful!
Of course, I think we'd all prefer for this to be a two-way
collaboration, but I think that will come over time.

Hi,

Sure, guess my first email was kind of naive.

Hopefully :)
In the meantime thanks for working on a free office suite.

Clemens,

do you understand why there isn't a simple answer?

The same concepts are expressed in similar way inside TDF's mailing
lists. With the same good reasons.

But I'm sure at the end the reason and the common good will prevail on
egocentric positions.

Be sure EducOOo never will (or will be without me), and the day
Apache project will do that, I'll have no reason to continue to
contribute.

Just a reminder:

TDF and LibreOffice have been decided in the background, without
public discussion, without even inform the OpenOffice.org project
leads, by people who autoproclamed themselves as "founding members".

Exactly the opposite of what should be a community project.

I can simply invert the question: why doesn't TDF simply contribute to Apache OpenOffice.org?

There is not a simple answer: it's a looooooooong story of copyleft.

In the future, I'm sure Apache, and TDF will find a way to collaborate actively.

I don't see the reasioning behind spliting the scarce resources any further.
