<pre>Hi!

Amitava,

You need to pick a Quantity template as part of your build settings.

Look for the quantity-type property inside the build.xml file
shipped with SISC - the options are
src/sisc/data/Quantity-apfloat.java.tmpl,
src/sisc/data/Quantity-32float.java.tmpl and
src/sisc/data/Quantity-64float.java.tmpl ( you can see them here:
http://sisc.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/sisc/sisc/src/sisc/data/ ).

After you decided which Quantity you want (default is 64float) the
"quantity" ant target creates the Quantity.java file you need.

Regards,
Igor.

Request for sponsor for Debian SISC package

<pre>Hi all,
Any Debian developers here?

I have updated the packaging for Debian that was already in the SISC
source to comply with modern standards. It's not perfect yet (though
it is lintian clean) but I'm looking for a sponsor to have it uploaded
into Debian. Is anyone able to help me out? debian-mentors list
hasn't shown any interest yet.

Here's my package on mentors.debian.net:
http://mentors.debian.net/cgi-bin/sponsor-pkglist?action=details;package=sisc

Here's my RFS post on debian-mentors:
http://lists.debian.org/debian-mentors/2010/07/msg00171.html

Here is the bug for packaging it:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=454562

Any comments on the packaging are gratefully received. :)

Cheers,

branching going on there, according to history on the file.

Documents\cvs\sisc\sisc\sisc-lib.jar

The error arises during the compile-file of sisc/libs/srfi/srfi-1.scm.
That file calls require-library on 'sisc/libs/srfi/srfi-8, then later
calls (import srfi-8). The latter import is raising the "unknown
module" error, because sisc/libs/srfi/srfi-8.scm, unlike every other
file in this directory, never calls add-feature. Hence the srfi-8
module identifier is never created.

To correct this, replace sisc/libs/srfi/srfi-8.scm with the following:

(module srfi-8 (receive)
 (include "../../modules/srfi/srfi-8.scm")
 (add-feature 'srfi-8))

Summary: Sisc wrapper script breaks spaces.

Initial Comment:
There are two instances in the sisc wrapper script that don't properly quote $&lt; at &gt;, one on checkIfNonInteractive, and the other on the call to rlwrap. Both of these should be quoted. Technically, the $0 should also be quoted as well, but that only would be a problem if the sisc script were renamed to something with a space.

 $ sisc -e '(+ 123 4)'
Error in load: error opening 'file:123'.

Problem running SISC from a path with spaces [withtiny patch]

<pre>I'm running SISC 1.6.6 under Windows, and I put it into a path with
spaces in it. This caused problems because the command line arguments
weren't all quoted in the sisc.bat file; specifically the -D and -h
flags. Adding quotes around them fixed the problem for me; I've included
the modified sisc.bat file (had to change the name so the list would let
it by). (I don't have ready access to the original
so it's not a diff; sorry.)

Presumably something similar should be done to the Unix version of that
script too, but I didn't bother.

<pre>Hello!

Scott,

Please send this new version to me as well, or alternatively put
this somewhere everyone can download...

 I was trying to port
http://planet.plt-scheme.org/package-source/soegaard/control.plt/2/0/tagged-begin.scm
to
SISC a few months ago with the purpose of adding it to my SISC mess...
I mean, library at
http://github.com/igorhvr/bedlam/tree/master/iasylum/
and I realized it couldn't do it because it requires a newer version
of psyntax.ss ...

I was considering trying to port the latest version to SISC myself,
but if you can do it, it would be really great!

Thanks,
Igor.
