[Tiki-devel] Bug tracker last chance for Tiki11

<pre>Greeting community,

The release process is stuck for too long and even with the help of Jonny and Xavi (tks for joining) the bug tracker is still not operational.

It is now something like 15 days that i'm trying to get this rolling keeping the old data as concern were raised about it or having a second tracker.
But for any new direction we try we have to solve double new problems.

This can't go on as neither Jonny or I ain't got unlimited time.

We decided that we will keep our best attempt to satisfy most of the community and to freeze it like it is so we can focus on fixing Tiki11.
Even if it means that triage (my task) is gonna be painful while input and search will be easy.
We'll improve for Tiki12.

Actually one last blocker is "Tracker field, dymanic items list" that seams broken (again ?)

Dynamic items list is showing catId value instead of the category name. (we had already a similar problem not so long ago)

Sample:
https://dev.tiki.org/tiki-view_tracker.php?trackerId=14
Show properly the category name - first one is Admin Interface (UI)

On the second tracker i set a dynamic items list
https://dev.tiki.org/tiki-admin_tracker_fields.php?trackerId=5 (field 133)

Go to
https://dev.tiki.org/tracker5

Insert new item, go to "Area" select any.
Check sub-category, instead of showing category name, it show catId.

If someone can solve this we'll have a working solution in no time.
Else we all go back to use wiki page to keep on with the release process.

Bernard

PS : sorry for being a rude and a little dictatorial on this but Jonny and i weren't supposed to be (the only one) working or concerned by this, i'm not even sure it is of the Release Team concern.
They were enough discussions (during Tikifest) emails or communication in the open about trying to work this out so people are aware of the situation.
So, If someone want to open NOW a discussion about it… i suggest him to take the lead and deal with the bug tracker. Once T11 is done we'll have time or energy for this.

<pre>Hello Jean,

This is a regression and not an un-complete feature.

It is working fine in Tiki6. http://demo.tiki.org/6x/tiki-objectpermissions.php?objectName=Ansys&amp;objectType=topic&amp;permType=cms&amp;objectId=3
Compared to http://demo.tiki.org/11x/tiki-objectpermissions.php?objectName=My%20topic&amp;objectType=topic&amp;permType=cms&amp;objectId=1

By the way it is not a permissions problem but more a display problem.
"tiki-objectpermissions.php" is not aware anymore that "objectType=topic" is related to "Article" feature.

Topic permissions are properly applied on Tiki9, Tiki10, Tiki11 and trunk as they were set previously. (i have a Tiki6 with topic permission that was upgraded 9, 10, 11 and trunk working with the permission set on Tiki6).

I'm reporting it in bug tracker.

There is a section which displays popular tags, with a following source
code:

^{module module="freetags_most_popular" type="cloud" max="75" notitle="y"}^

While translating, this part was not touched. However, on the Korean page,
there is a line break after each tag, making it more of an "tag list"
rather than "tag cloud". Anybody?

I get the following

http://demo.tiki.org/10x/tiki-objectpermissions.php?objectName=XboxOne&amp;objectType=topic&amp;permType=cms&amp;objectId=1

Basically it says,
Warning
You must select at least one feature.

I did enable the following permission:
*Can read a topic (Applies only to individual topic perms)
(tiki_p_topic_read)*
*
*
*However,* I still can't set the permission to the topic.
Anybody?

[Tiki-devel] doc.tiki.org doesn't have a login button anymore?

<pre>I was writing some automated tests against doc.tiki.org, that test some
login/logout scenarios, and they stopped working all of a sudden. The
tests report that they can't find the login/logout buttons.

And sure enough, when I go to doc.tiki.org, I don't see the login/logout
buttons. Did someone change something on that site?

Thx

Alain

Hi Rick

For now it just tucks any field description underneath the input like on the normal tracker edit item form, they each go in a div.trackerplugindesc so you should be able to style or hide them as you wish.

I didn't extend the {$f_1...} pretty tracker format but maybe that's something to think about for tiki 12?

<pre>Will I still be able to use the field description when creating a
pretty tracker template page?

Is there way to somehow to add it to the page? Something like:
{$f_1_description}

<pre>Ok, thanks for the info, Jonny.
If I ever get any of those issues, I'll report. In my case, we either
deleted the wysiwyg pages or convert them into plain wiki syntax many
months ago, so I don't have any reproducible example handy, and I
wouldn't be able to describe precisely how to reproduce, sorry.
I'll keep my eyes open whenever I need full wysiwyg again.
Cheers
Xavi

Fix for that was back ported by Xavi (thanks) today - dev.t.o just needs an svn up which it should get automatically soon.

Thanks for trying :)
