I took the two exams a few weeks ago. The exams are booked via the Pearson
Vue website and are held in the BT Tower so your first step will be getting
registered on Pearson Vue and adding CompTIA to your account.
The exam is the CompTIA Linux+ (Powered by LPI) so after passing you are
Linux+, LPIC-1 and Novell Certified Linux Administrator.
I was expecting a seemless process but the Pearson Vue process leaves a bit
to be desired. After registering with them you have add CompTIA to your
Pearson Vue account - and possibly chase after them a bit.
There is also a little chasing afterwards too to ensure your LPI account is
updated (and Novell CLA if you want that piece of paper too).
The exams are £124 each and there are two exams 101 and 102 leading to
LPIC-1 certification. I personally didn't take any training but did use the
Sybex book which I thought was great. I also work on Linux servers daily
but the exam covers stuff I don't necessarily use every day which is good.
There are plenty of example

Any Pearson Vue Test centre.

BT training in Belfast is probably your best bet.

If you're refering to CompTIA Linux+, Belfast Met have run the courses and
the related exams. I believe they still offer these as part-time options,
but you need to check with the course staff at the start of each term
(Belfast Met often don't publicise some of their courses very well if they
haven't had a lot of prior interest - so you have to just ask...).

If you're refering to LPI - http://www.lpi.org/ - then I don't know
anywhere in Belfast that provides those exams. I'd suggest checking with
any "professional cert" test companies, like Pearson Vue or Prometric, as
the http://www.lpi-uk.co.uk/ UK LPI site doesn't seem to indicate test
centres.

Thx for your help and I am grateful of your generosity. I am very annoyed
to decline your offer;-( and I prefer to be honest. Indeed
the availability of cartridges is low for that model so they are quite
dear, also a 3in1 color cartridge is used, some ink will be wasted. It
means we could not afford to buy the consumables on the long term and it's
gonna be not used... As a charity we have lot of workforce, time and
equipment but the cash is terribly tight..
Thx anyway, willix

Hi Colin,

It's quite simple to maintain. Basically you have a deb package that
you install and this allows you to create your own virtual
environments called bottles (since WINE is the parent free project
that is funded in this way). Problems: currently you only have maybe
up to XP or vista as install modes, when installing a valid outlook
(aka MS office) you'll run into a validation issue, so will have to
run the following hack in regedit to modify the registry:
https://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/browse/name/?app_id=7437;forum=1;msg=128241
and therefore currently MS Office 2013 can't be installed.

Maintenance wise, I haven't yet downloaded an updated deb to see what
happens to my original install, but theoretically - due to the way
it's designed, this shouldn't cause any blow up -- but time will tell.

What you're paying for though is some XML which contains the procedure
to build the program. (Think of it as aptitude for Win32 programs, but
like I say, for a work in progress it's not 100 %, but wh
