Though an interim ruling, it is possibly one of the more important opinions to be rendered on land use in the US in ever, and could have huge consequences….

https://t.co/BgS5iAuzrJ

Crashes and injuries down for all road users, transit times shorter even with max speeds lower, and businesses raking it in as traffic and parking management programs, enhanced crosstown bus service, protected bikeways, and pedestrian plazas spread throughout the city.

Good counter to the NIMBYs and naysayers.

<description>&lt;pre&gt;I wish my alma mater did the same thing. There's currently an $8.90/hr surcharge on tuition called the "Transportation Access Fee", costing a typical full-time student an extra $267 per year--and giving all students "free" on-campus parking permits. While there are now 9 frequent bus routes running on campus and to all the off-campus areas where a lot of students live, the bulk of the money seems to go towards what are now 6 parking garages, which cost $17,000 per space to build.

I wonder if you can take a couple minutes to help me with a special request. I'd really really like to be able to go to the biggest international bike policy &amp;amp; planning conference in the world. I've even been asked to speak there. But unlike the carfree cities conferences I've helped produce, it's very expensive. Fortunately, they created a contest, and at least 30 of the favorite projects and ideas will win free tickets.

I've organized some friends and submitted four projects we hope to see recognized. All you need to do for us is to enter an email on a project page, and then click the link they send you. It's anonymous and the email is only used for verification. You can vote for AS MANY PROJECTS AS YOU WANT, and I encourage you to see what other projects you might like as well!

Please vote for these! Our projects include, in order of importance for your support:

        1) A design and policy guide for making campuses more bicycle friendly,
