Have a look at our GSoC student page [1]. Application starts April 
22nd.
Nevertheless, as pointed out on that page, it's not too early to 
familiarize yourself with the Haiku dev environment and code. We demand 
patches from aspiring GSoC students to make sure they know the basics 
of coding in/for Haiku.

For further inquiry, try the active mailing lists [2]. This list is 
only vestige of Haiku's long evolution and not used anymore.

I am Bhanu Pratap Singh, 3rd year Electrical Engineering, IIT Kanpur,
India. I would like to apply for GSoC 2013 under Haiku. I have a good
knowledge of C,C++ and Qt. I would like to wok on Haiku's Mail Client. I
looked at the bugs in the mail client and i would like to improve it.
Please respond and guide me through the process.
