5.1.2 (updated kernel and userland to NetBSD-current) on it recently.
I do not have Mac OS X nor any other OS on it, and I don't plan to
install any other, I will stick only to NetBSD.

But I need your help. Well, first I am thankful that NetBSD isn't
giving me kernel panics with ACPI, because I have tried FreeBSD and
DragonflyBSD, and they both give me kernel panics even though there
are some *more* drivers for my MB.

So, I am asking you if MacBook users can expect better hardware
support with NetBSD 6? Here's what's unsupported (at least things
which I know of):
- Apple SMC (driver available in FreeBSD)
- Broadcom BCM43xx (driver available in OpenBSD, DragonFlyBSD; I don't
know if it works; broadcom_sta hybrid driver for Linux released by
Broadcom)
- Apple Touchpad (driver available in FreeBSD; doesn't work like it
should, but it's okay)
- iSight
- Fan control (if apple smc gets ported, I believe a fan control

It turned out the current situation was actually the best default, as
it allows raid-on-cgd, cgd-on-raid, and raid-on-cgd-on-raid - as long
as the final -on-raid was set to autoconfigure :)

Just a thought on this - have you tried setting up your raid to
autoconfigure - that should work and not need the rc.d change (plus
also be more robust as it no longer needs the raid config file)....

Talks about developments in particular operating systems are welcome

I'm not so sure. I am thinking that I will have to do that since there
is no include facility. The script would be dead simple as it simply
has to put two files together, both symlinks in /etc and both pointing
to my subversion checkout. One is the common stuff and the other is a
link to the specific stuff for that system. My "preprocessor" would be
no more than "cat /etc/pf.conf.head /etc/pf.conf.local > /etc/pf.conf"
and yet "include /etc/pf.conf.local" would still be simpler. It also
means that if something changes I wouldn't need to run the preprocessor.

Having an include facility doesn't stop anyone from building a
preprocessor for more complex cases.

Good point. The default is "" so it works anyway but it's good for
documentation purposes.

Basically I want to use a common pf.conf for all my systems that
includes the following lines:

# Exempt internal interfaces
pass quick on lo0
pass quick on $int_if

# Filtering: the implicit first two rules are
block in log on $ext_if
pass out all

pass in inet proto icmp all icmp-type echoreq modulate state
pass in proto udp from any port 123 to any
pass in quick on $ext_if from <FRIENDS> to any keep state

So my pf_flags would be "-Dext_if=bge0 -Dint_if=bge1" with different
values on each system.

Think I modify that as well? There is also npf but I think that that is

Probably not, although I don't see a default value for pf_flags

What extra (pfctl) options were you considering to use ?
