Rule #1:

Do NOT use WINIMAGE for diskette images. This is a DOS group NOT a WINDOZE group. Unless a person knows what they are doing, WINIMAGE will mess up the boot sectors of the floppies being imaged.

Rule #2

If you read a floppy in WINDOZE 95 or later, make certain you write protect it first as WINDOZE will put garbage on the diskette. It makes chages in the boot sector and messes with the VOLUME LABEL.

Rule #3

For diskette Images, use either DR-DOS DISKCOPY or DiskXPress, both of these utilties can be found in the other DR-DOS Group at:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dr-dos

Neither of these two untilties will wrok with very old versions of DOS and some other programs. For these you need to use FDCOPY. This utility is not currently posted. Contact me before posting images of old software like this. I have a library of very old DOS versions including BDOS 1.2 amd MSDOS 1.x. BDOS 1&lt;/pre&gt;</description>
