Hi Jonathan,

Yes, it' s me! Actually I've just seen the calendar/appointment invitation,
I'm with a very limited Internet access (No computers for a while,
intentionally).

So, I'm installed in St. Julians and I know few landmarks in Valleta. Based
on the map, it seems to be quite near to the Triton Fountain and near to
the Valetta's bus terminal, correct? If so, that's absolutely ok, I can
find my way.

There was a brasilian individual who signed up on the list and expressed
interest in attending meetings, I am sure he saw the calendar invitation i
sent.

If he reads this does he need a map or explanation as to where the place we
are meeting is at?

we look forward to meeting, you in Malta we usually have a meeting on the
3rd saturday of each month, as that day comes we discuss the location on
the list.

I think it is needed. There is a creative space called the hub underway, 
but it looks a bit airyfairy at the moment. Interesting though. And at 
the other end there is Regus. I think I am somewhere in between. Working 
on it :-)

offices (even for a few days a week) in a building or complex? We need

My advise is to get acquainted with the command line. Read this article for
more details how to find recent large files:

With regards to performance, are you using SSD drive? My tool of choice is
again command line based - top or iostat. Investigate the top processes
with top and see whether they are IO, CPU or Memory bound by using iostat.
You will also get an idea whether your system is swapping or not - in that
case you might need to upgrade memory.

iotop can be really helpful. If you're trashing a lot it may help to
switch up the kernel IO scheduler to something better suited to your
setup.

There should be a disk analyzer which shows graphically what's using up the
space. As for performance, I usually use top and iotop.
