I enjoyed contributing to Cineon as well. I remember seeing one at 
Dreamworks' studios probably 5 years ago now, when I was selling server 
management software.
Has anyone written a  "bio" for Cineon? Like - who was on what teams 
that contributed to the product together with how many licenses were 
sold, the value of hardware and software, some of the movies it was used 
on and what it was used for. I note that there is a short write-up in 
Wikipedia.

Really - that's truly the end of an era. Cineon has somehowvmanaged to bridge the gap from shake to nuke, despite being a 'dead' product for that whole time. And, of course, cineon will still have features that are lacking in either. Thankyou Cineon.

But not unexpected.  You know, when you're telling the world "Kodak is
committed to this product for the long term", but missing deadlines
because you're firing two developers in order to hire another layer of
middle management, it's only a matter of time before it all dies.
