<pre>Hello,

I entered in a few tasks yesterday and set them to repeat daily/weekly/etc... After the allotted time for the task it stayed on “now” so I manually changed it to “done”. When I turned it on this morning none of the tasks had flipped to “later” as I feel they should do on their own because I’ve set the task to repeat. I had to manually go into each task and change it to “later” AND change the date on it. Its not that big of a deal with only 20 items, but I feel it will be a pain to do on a daily basis as I add more items to my growing list. Am I doing something wrong, or is that the way it works?

Thanks,

<pre>Dear Chandler team,

Chandler looks like a very promising tool for us to use for getting work done in a software setup project. We are still testing how to best use the software. A small issue we have is, that the title are not fully displayed anywhere on Chandler Desktop. Is there somewhere a setting to enable a hover or a title to have multiple lines?
The tasks come in from test users and the title are taking from text, therefore they are very long. We know there is the description field, but that slows us down to divide everything up in title and body. We would much rather prefer to quickly past tasks into Chandler Desktop.

Best regards
Leo

<pre>Hi Doug,

We have customized Cosmo to work with ustom database which is very old and
actually it's non-SQL.So, all the code which deals with hibernate was
re-written.

Additionall, recurrence model in this system does not correspond to
icalendar standards in some aspects, so some hacks also were added there to
make this working.

I never tried my changes with the original cosmo, but I believe they would
work there too, probably with some minor changes. I don't have time to
prepare working patch for cosmo right now, but if you are really interested
in this, I could do it a little bit later or just send you some description
of the necessary changes.

Best regards,
Irina.

I have successfully implemented iOS support for customized Cosmo version
couple of months ago.
There are still several problems, however generally it works and it seems
like there are some bugs in iOS calendar itself.

Do you want to change an entry to a different collection?

You can add an item to a different collection by clicking and dragging
it. If you look at the bottom right of the window, you can see what
collections an item appears in. Then click the item in the original
collection and use Item-&gt;Remove to remove it... (Don't use
Item-&gt;Delete, that will remove it from all collections and put it in the
trash.)

<pre>Hi Alistair,

I love chandler too. It is one of the best programs that I have found to
date to work with and still wish it was being supported. I have the issue
of not being able to sync it with google calendar so that I can then use it
on my smart phone. (Anyone solved this?)

Your problem - comes about due to you not clearing the items that you have
done on the day or changing the date --

Chandler will always move TODAY'S TASKS to the top and then resort the
others under it in the current section.

You can do the following - press the date tab to sort by date - OR CLEAR
THE ITEMS WITH THE DATE PAST or change their dates to future dates if you
have not finished with them.

Don't give up on chandler for just what you see - I have not found anything
to compare - and i have been looking a very long time.

It is a program that I would happily pay for if they could get the cloud
syncing worked out.

Danni

<pre>Hi Mark,
I'm not an expert on this, but it seems that UID is an optional
capability which may be implemented by mail servers which gives each
message on the server a unique ID so that a client can unambiguously
identify whether it has seen that message already or not (I'm
referring to this article for info :
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/149024/what-does-the-pop3-capa-uidl-command-do
). Presumably Chandler requires it, but if your particular provider
doesn't implement it, then it isn't going to work with Chandler.

<pre>Hi,

I recently read the book “Dreaming in Code” by Scott Rosenberg and found the
whole development of Chandler very interesting. As a “hobby” (Delphi)
programmer, I recognised a lot of the problems that faced the Chandler
development team – it’s good to hear that the professionals have some of the
same issues as us amateurs.

As a direct result of reading the book, I realised that Chandler is exactly
what my wife and I need – we’re both busy professionals and keeping track of
our respective schedules (ie., when am I away from home; when does she have
her Zumba classes; etc.) is a nightmare. Finally, we can coordinate across
the various systems, without the excuse of “I thought I had told you” (her
excuse, not mine).

I downloaded and installed Chandler under Windows 7 (Professional, 64-bit).
Works like a dream. A bit “slow” on start-up (the book warned me about
this) and even on an i5 processor with 8 GB RAM and 1 GB graphics RAM it’s
still a lot slower than ACT (which I use for wor</pre>
