We did the trip in 2010 with SPCC who did all the lock bookings for us. We went our on the Saturday through the Barrier and turned at Woolwich Ferry and came back into Limehouse next day Sunday we went out again and up to Teddington. A wonderful experience and would love to do it again some time. Hope you enjoy it.

Outlook Express is still available for XP users.

EssentialPIM http://www.essentialpim.com/ works very well
with XP and Win 7 (& 8 too?) and is a great free alternative to Outlook.
Ideal for anyone who wants their diary, email, contacts etc etc all in one
place. Whilst Thunderbird is very good, some people might prefer Essential
PIM.

I ditched all of my MS Office a year ago in favour of LibraOffice and
haven't regretted it. MS doesn't have backward compatibilty with a lot
their Office versions and I reckon that is a con to make us all upgrade
every
year or two.

I would recommend it to anyone who mourns the passing of Outlook

There is plenty of information on the net. Port of London Authority have a

The time through Limehouse is subject to tides so you will have to arrange

We went up a couple of years ago and hopefully will go this year I suggest
you make sure the Cratch is on if you have one and the various outlets
tapped up as the stretch from Limehouse to Parliament can be choppy due to
the large amount of traffic. Also if you have anything loose put it on the

Hi Gize,

In August we plan to 'do' the River Thames. The plan is to go from
Limehouse Lock then up stream to Teddington then onward to Oxford then up
the Oxford then back home to Napton.

The last time we did this it was in 1996 on UCC's hire boat nb 'Wrekin' but
as Wrekin was a hire boat, the Insurance company would not permit her to go
via Limehouse. We've always had an ambition to do this trip on our own boat.

I've also had an ambition to cruise past the Houses Of Parliament to give a
gesture of my disapproval of the idiots that work in there.

We plan to collect some crew from Paddington Basin, who are travelling from
Swindon by train.

First question; do we need to book an overnight mooring in advance ?

Secondly; Do we need to book Limehouse Lock especially as we'll have the
dawgs with us and no doubt they'll need somewhere to 'go' suitably equipped
with suitable receptacles?

Thirdly, I have recently taken and passed my VHF radio course and purchased
an ICOM M23 VHF H/H radio.

should try Mozilla Thunderbird as it is very similar to Outlook Express
and easy to instal.

I have and it is.

Thank you, Dave

Welcome to Tim and Joules. Both make excellent helpers at locks!!! And
great company to be moored up with. Even our cat, Tigger got on well with,
Cfer (C for cat). Happy days both
Catch up later in the year. Bob and Pam

Would you please welcome
Tim and Julie Radcliffe on Mother Night
Susan and Peter Perrott on Arum

You may have well welcomed them before but due to the way Yahoo have changed
things they will not have been able to see them.

Brian
