I consider this to be an issue with downstream packaging.

    <description>&lt;pre&gt;Follow-up Comment #1, bug #37003 (project mldonkey):

When starting manually I get :

Syntax error while parsing file downloads.ini at position 462:32:
Stream.Error("")
it seems that downloads.ini is corrupt,
try to use a backup from /home/ygrek/.mldonkey/old_config

at stderr.
So there are two possible solutions
1) mldonkey could log to file immediately from start
2) distribution init scripts shouldn't silently drop mldonkey stderr output..

    <description>&lt;pre&gt;Follow-up Comment #1, bug #37075 (project mldonkey):

My suggestion of removing the use of "pthread_mutex_timedlock()" is
problematic, causing mlnet to consume 100% CPU after enabling upnp port
forwarding.

So by briefly implementing pthread_mutex_timedlock(), in my project I got it
to work on Mac 10.8.2. Compiled good, got uPNP forwarding success and fairly
normal CPU usage. After some more testing &amp;amp; cleanup I'll provide the patch.

Compilation works fine with make -j1, so I suspect some issue in the Makefile
that I was unable to locate though.
