Hello,
I have some special server witch waiting for '/' (slash) at the end of 
directory path during 'cd' execution.

 lftp SYSTEM< at >10.34.105.9:~> cd /DW1-/
cd: Access failed: 550 "/DW1-" : No such directory or permission denied.

Does it posible to send '/' slash at the end of directory name?
(As I see some ftp client done it.)

Polish translation update and encoding fix for lftp 4.4.6

Hello,

I've just updated Polish translation for lftp 4.4.6.

Also note that pl.po included in lftp 4.4.6 is incorrectly recoded to
UTF-8 (assuming input in iso-8859-1 instead of iso-8859-2 and without
charset update in header).

lftp version 4.4.6 has been released.

What's new:
* improved sftp backend with symlink info retrieving (readlink).
* new cls option -a to show dot files.
* new setting cmd:cls-exact-time.
* fixed NULL dereference when torrent:use-dht is off.
* fixed torrent for info_hash with NUL character (broken in 4.4.4).

ascii mode does not support resuming the upload (in lftp).
Try not to use ascii mode, e.g. by converting the file first.

We are running lftp Version 4.4.5 on Suse Linux 11.2

It uses Readline 6.0

When trying to do a put -a for some files, we are getting the error:

put: cannot seek on data source

Is there a fix or something we need to change to fix this error?

lftp reconnects as needed, so you don't have to keep those connections open
all the times.

If the connections are anonymous, you can just do:
   mirror URL1 URL2

If a login/password is required, you have to login first so that lftp
remembers the password. Them you can use the URL without a password.
   login ftps://user< at >host
   mirror ftps://user< at >host URL2

You can also use bookmarks to remember those URLs and refer to them by name:
   bookmark add site1 URL1
   bookmark add site2 URL2
   mirror bm:site1 bm:site2

Use "&&" or "set fail-exit yes".

BTW, mirror automatically creates the target directory and you can specify
target URL directly without any slots.

I want to transfer

I can do it in one w ?ay that i know of:
slot FTPDESTINY; mkdir /some/other/dirs/This-Dir-Destiny; cd
/some/other/dirs/This-Dir-Destiny;
slot FTPSOURCE; mirror /some/dirs/This-Dir-Source slot:FTPDESTINY

Ok, that works but i think it looks awful.
The problem with the approach above is if i have many of those commands, i
have a feeling that lftp will get lost because the commands are not chained
somehow. For example, when i execute the cmd aboce, imagine FTPDESTINY is
busy at the time i try:

slot FTPDESTINY; mkdir /some/other/dirs/This-Dir-Destiny; cd
/some/other/dirs/This-Dir-Destiny;

Then, FTPDESTINY was busy and conclusion: none of those commands were
executed and i am at directory /the/wrong/directory/

And then comes the next command which is:

slot FTPSOURCE; mirror /some/dirs/This-Dir-Source slot:FTPDESTINY

And BAAAM, its going to mirror into /the/wrong/directory/

I don't think it is possible to do with sftp. The site command could be useful
in case of plain ftp.

Aside from changing lftp to disable IPv6 support, is there a way to disable
IPv6 for transfers or to prefer IPv4 for the initial connection?  By
default if IPv6 module/option is loaded in the Linux kernel it tries IPv6
first, can this be made an option to use one first over the other and/or
use IPv4 or IPv6 explicitly?


Example, when I tried to download this Linux ISO, it stalls for some time
before it re-connects and tries the IPv4 address.
