<pre>Yes - Bernie is one amazing individual without a doubt!

I thought the show last week was great. Really solid. Short, but also had two small sections showcasing both Bill an Graves. Bill was very happy with the outcome.

This was my first time catching them live. Zorn and Bill both are definitely into this combo - a number of months ago at Bill's they were talking about gigs and both seemed really into doing more with Graves.

<pre>Thanks for posting the link, if that's the term to use, to the article on Bernie. I've had the chance, over the years, and it's amazing to hear him speak of and about his musical background. For all he's accomplished he's, trying to find the correct word, past the point of un-assuming. He's great people.

Did anybody see the Zorn, Laswell, Graves show in New York last week and, if so, how did it go? Great they are playing out and wish they would play in other areas of, self serving, the East Coast. I was involved with something last Saturday evening or would have taken the trip to NYC.

Hope all are well

George

Saw a video clip of Bernie, Emerson &amp; (I think) Wakeman talking backstage somewhere - prob'ly a Moog event (?) - not too long ago but can't find it at the moment. They were clearly friendly w/ each other &amp; familiar w/ their respective works.

Maybe not. It´s the impression I get from seeming to recall numerous posts
over the years pointing the way to a "new Laswell interview". He certainly
doesn´t seem unwilling - heck, even I conducted a half-hour interview with
him on the phone - arranged by the good folks at Axiom - back in the late
nineties.

<pre>Just for historical purposes...I launched the Axiom website around 1994
with the full support of Bill Laswell, Bill Murphy, Tracy McKnight and
shortly thereafter, John Brown. While Bill was not necessarily involved
in "self-promotion," he was incredibly supportive of the website and I
maintained it continuously until around 2000. It had a decent
audience. It was also one of the first artist-specific sites on the
web. I also built prototype websites for Buckethead and Bernie Worrell,
but it was probably too early for people to get that the web was going
to take over.

Bill contracted with a marketing firm in 2000 and they told me they were
taking over the marketing and the rights to the Axiom name on the web.
I was fine with that because they had more people and money than I did,
but they never did anything with it, from what I can tell. My personal
take on it, and I have never asked Bill, Bill or John about this, is
that they were good at selling themselves. But Bill did contract with

<pre>I don't even fully understand the reasoning or content of the original "scolding" but from what I could decipher: Bill himself has never been very interested in self-promotion (or so I assume so since he never did much of it). Until MoD except for the Axiom website &amp; maybe one or two others were never maintained. They "started" &amp; then were seemingly abandoned. So, criticize Bill instead of others for inadequate promotion. Is talk of older releases not better than NO talk at all? Idk how many people are on this forum (or pay attention to it) but it's probably less than 40 or so. If every one of them bought every release idk how much it would help or alter the number of releases. The current state of the music biz is unlikely to be solved or effected much by the 30 people on this forum regardless of what we did. Many of us don't live in Europe or N.Y. so are unlikely to be able to support live shows. ---------- Original Message ----------
