These are available on Ebay for $46.99 US with free shipping but you will have to wait  for it to ship from China. Usually a couple of weeks to my upstate NY location.

Here is Farnell's search page for these. These are a bit pricier in you neck of the woods plus I didn't really find the proper controller info. The Midas might work but it's way too pricey to chance. Any other options?

The only thing to look for is the LED backlight so you can avoid the inverter and EL

Hi i`m trying to get hold of a Ver 1.2 o/s rom , Antoine said he could possibly burn one to EPROM , but i`ve not heard off him since ?!..

I replace the display with a LED backlit one and forget about the inverter. I tried finding the ND style inverters and never had much luck.

MIDIox works well usually. Do you know your current OS version?

Version 1.0 usually has bugs, but can you give a better description of 
the problems?

I'm stating the obvious but you have to manually set SYSEX in and out on 
in the SYSTEM menu and turn the PROTECT switch off.

I still have a few empty ROM chips I can program with the ROM. The 
latest version I have is ROM 1.2 on the K5m.

OK, and apparently there are some Newhaven LCDs that work on the
Wavestation and should work just as well on the K5 :

Same pinout, and uses the "RA6963" controller, equivalent to the T6963 used
on the K5's Toshiba LCD.

There is Blue/White, Green/Black or White/Black available. The White/Black
