I am testing a Virus Scan - using Baruwa 2 - (Installed with the script that was

Exim is rejecting in the SMTP stage, so the mail is never getting to the Queue

Is this how it is suppose to be?

here is the SMTP session using swaks:

Hi,

Thanks for your response, I've correct my cron as the issue suggest, but I'm still not getting any information from outbound queue.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought I could manage the mail queue in the outbound intances, or at least, check which ones are stuck.

anyway thanks for your help.

Hello,

I've a fresh install using install.sh script found in this list. Anyway, my problem is that I cannot manage outbound queue from baruwa.

I'm able to see the inbound queue in the full message list tab, but if a mail is stuck in outbound queue (due to relay server is down), I'm not able to see it in the Status --> Mail queues tab nor in other tabs.

My config is the default config provided by install.sh

should I do any extra config to manage outbound queue?

Thanks & Regards.

Manel

Hi again,

I have now...

Created an organisation "MyCompanyName"
added an outboud relay host => 192.168.0.101 (Ip of the Exchange server)

Have added domains e.g. mycompanydomain.co.uk
added a delivery server on the domain 192.168.0.101:25 and tested -> "up and accepting email from us"

Set up an account rpf-D4qZEMI14/g7VdE/fOJbLw< at >public.gmane.org<mailto:rpf-D4qZEMI14/g7VdE/fOJbLw< at >public.gmane.org>

I can telnet into the server (telnet 192.168.0.200 25)
and create a mail...

The /var/log/exim/main.log gets the following lines added to it...

2013-05-20 12:28:35 no host name found for IP address 192.168.0.109
2013-05-20 12:28:50 1UeOGc-0003Ej-9S <= it-D4qZEMI14/g7VdE/fOJbLw< at >public.gmane.org H=[192.168.0.109] P=smtp S=239
2013-05-20 12:28:50 1UeOGc-0003Ej-9S Format error in spool file 1UeOGc-0003Ej-9S-H: size=581

Is this something that I have done, or not configured?

Yes, my issues most related to the install script.
You can reference the script and manual from baruwa site to check your steps .

Do not use the step on baruwa site to download the sphinx API ,or you will got nothing when using baruwa to search.

Ah right, I see now your issues were related to the install script rather
than baruwa itself. I had some similar issues with debian specific changes
required. I'm still having probs with clamav-daemon scanning though as per
a different post to this list... And of course the AD auth not working as
you have also found!

Cheers

Hi,

The issues list doesn't actually show how you corrected the problems, it
just shows "Resolved". Is there any chance you can reply to your original
email with exactly how you fixed the problem? I think this would be helpful
for all.

Cheers,
Mark
