The POP3 protocol does not know about different mail folders (INBOX,
SPAM, ...). This is a limitation of the protocol itself; mpop cannot
change that.

There are two possibilities:
1) Your freemail provider allows you to configure the mail folders that
are visible via POP3. In this case, activate all folders you want to
access with mpop.
2) To access different folders inside your mail box, use the IMAP
protocol, which has built-in support for this. Mpop does not support
IMAP, so you would need to use a different program.

Hello,

The program perfectly gets the content of the input
mailbox from a pop3 server (freemail.hu). But what if I'd like to
retrieve the emails from the spam box too? Sometimes important emails
land into that box.

How to configure the application?

Hm, it's not exactly cool, but you could write a little shell script
(or perl or python or ...) that checks the relevant headers and then
returns 2 (skip this mail) or 0 (proceed).

I don't have a good overview over alternatives right now, so I'm not
sure...

I have this working fine with msmtp, so not sure why its not working
with mpop. Anyone else using this and have it working?

Thanks,

    <description>&lt;pre&gt;Hi.
I'm having problems in downloading mail from a MailEnable catch-all mailbox.
Right now we're using Exchange with iGetMail (or something like that) which works fine.
Also fetchmail works almost fine, the only problem I have is with BCC emails. In the mail headers I don't have any special header which specifies the recipient, so it has to be "guessed" by the "Received" headers.

So I was wondering if mpop is capable of parsing the Received headers to understand the real recipient.

Thanks

P.S. here's the full header of a mail from gmail thru mailenable

This looks like a username/password mismatch.

The single 'USER' on a line is not a command. All lines starting with
'--&amp;gt;' are sent by mpop, and all lines starting with '&amp;lt;--' are sent by
the server. The USER line just means that the server tells mpop that it
supports USER/PASS authentication.
