This whole endeavor has the appeal of an old toothless virgin, wearing a
mini-dress that is covered with stickers like a formula-1 race car.

Your use of the linuxaudio.org logo on http://pinterest.com/linuxaudio/
shows that you lack even the slightest trace of aesthetic sensibility,
you butcher.

As the creator of the logo, I wish that you remove it from all your
sites and never use it again. (No, I do not have the time to clean up
the mess you leave behind.)

<pre>Hi,

I have been making some updates to the LAU guide at it's new home
http://linux-audio.com.

1: I have added Google ads as a temporary solution and made a few tweaks
to the content. In just a couple of days we have already received clicks
so that is a promising start. Adsense provides a breakdown of the
different sites so I will be able to keep track of how much income is
generated by this project and feed it back to the community as things
progress.

I want to make the site as interactive as possible so if anyone has
suggestions for new functionality that integrates the content we are all
creating into the LAU Guide which makes use of jquery, html5, A/V, etc...
that would be helpful. I'll attempt to make any components that are built
reusable for other sites. I am thinking that a good way to get things
moving is to use the ad revenue from Google to fund development of the
best ideas.

ex. soundcloud, myspace, open samples, software of the month, etc...

2: There is also a paypal donate button so if you </pre>

The wav is clean, as said in my other response I suspect it's just a
problem with "windows media player" because nor totem, nor mplayer or vlc
show the problem on linux

I used "Export session to audiofile..." for the mixdown.

I wasn't paying any attention to this thread until now.
Yesterday and the day before I exported WAV files from ardour
2.8.11 and I noticed that a laugh that's balanced L/R at 6
seconds into the one track is also pulled forward to 2 seconds
into the track and panned nearly all the way left, but slides
toward center as it fades out. The WAV file was exported via
"Export range markers to multiple audio files...". The problem
exists in exports from each of the two days. Only 2-3 of the
21 exported files have any trouble.

"Export session to audiofile..." doesn't exhibit the problem.

Cheerio....

<pre>Hi all,

I've a little problem encoding an improvvisation I recorded in ardour2 with lame.

After exporting sucessfully the two tracks, I run this command:

lame --preset standard mixdown.wav

The generated mp3 file is mostly ok, but there are some glitches as you can ear
at 1'37" (mp3 link: http://persbaglio.it/downloads/improvvisando/risveglio.mp3 )

I've done this process twice, with the same results and I'm almost sure that
there isn't any glitch in the mixdown wave file (I can't be really sure just
because I don't have the original here at hand).

Any idea on what could be the cause?

Thanks,
Andrea

P.S.
My system is a lenovo ideapad s9e (atom n270) with debian sid, jack 1 and an
audiofire2 audio card.
