The only time that Nigel took part in the Malta Internationals was in 2010
when he won the European Open and placed third in the Malta Open. We hope
that won't be his last participation in our internationals.

WESPA ratings

There have been some questions lately about updates to WESPA ratings.  The super Aardvark tool, which was done by Edward Okulicz, is only updated from time to time on a voluntary basis, and we are in the process of recruiting more volunteers.

Kings Cup - Sudoku

It will basically be the same days as Kings Cup - ie Thursday 11th to
Sunday 14th July

It is also not too late to enter Kings Cup, one of the most exciting
tournaments in the world (certainly the biggest, with around 10,000 players
competing in various games - and around 6,000 of them are children, the
future of our wonderful game)

I remember being surprised that decades long Internet 
urban legend "Crabbit Old Woman" had not elevated
crabbit to even # status, but that changed at the last update
of Collins.  CRABBIT# now joins FRABBIT# as the
only front hooks of rabbit.  Here's that great poem falsely attributed
to a deceased patient of a nursing home.  It was actually
written by a nurse.  It has recently had another wrinkle added 
as it's going around the Internet with a new title, attributed to
a deceased male patient.
