Rebecca,

I tried a search within Longwoods while proxied in and it did not drop
the proxy; I was able to successfully search terms and then link into
the fulltext of several without losing proxy. I tried this in Canadian
Journal of Nursing Leadership (or, because they can't seem to decide
what to call themselves...... just "Nursing Leadership"!)

We are using proxy-by-port rather than proxy-by-hostname, if that makes
any difference (wouldn't think so, but you never know).

And no, we do not have Google in our proxy list.

at the beginning we had also thought the same thing and we had asked

I was wondering if there was a way to handle the problem in a technical
way using the proxy. I would only that access off-campus did not use
more than X sessions: EZproxy is not able to count and filter them by
number?

Subject: [ezproxy] limit concurrent sessions

Hi all,
we would like to configure Ezpoxy in order to limit the number of concurrent sessions for a given resource.
Some databases are bought with a number of concurrent accesses, and we would like some of them were reserved for the on-campus access.
In other words: is it possible to measure concurrent sessions and set a block beyond a certain threshold?

Thanks

EZProxy load tests

<pre>Hi,

As you may already know, Laval is in the process of moving its EZProxy server to a new cluster of 3 EZProxy running on RedHat Enterprise virtual machines behind an F5 load balancer appliance. I would like to know if any of you have done load tests on their EZProxy server before. If so, I wonder if there are any guidelines to follow.

My first idead was to contact some of our main database vendors and ask them, first if they agree to take part in the process, second, if they could provide a list of documents (web pages, PDFs) URL we could use to do the load tests. I don't know if it's a good idea. Until now that's the only idea that comes to my mind.

Thanks in advance for any insight you could provide.

<pre>We also are having proxy linking issues with WOK.

For one thing we are* not *taken to Web of Knowledge but rather to Research
ID which is very confusing.

For the other, proxy doesn't seem to like the WOK config at all. When we
manage to get to WOK we are asked to login. Say wuut??

Isn't the idea behind proxy is that we have all ready logged in at our
institutional level and when we wing our way to WOK all we need do is
search?

So many configs and so little time

http://apps.webofknowledge.com/?DestApp=WOS&amp;editions=AHCI
http://apps.webofknowledge.com/?DestApp=WOS&amp;editions=SCI
http://apps.webofknowledge.com/?DestApp=WOS&amp;editions=SSCI

On campus, these links resolve to the correct WoK citation index. Off campus, after logging in via EZproxy, they go to the main WoK page, where all of the citation index boxes are ticked.
<pre>Hi,

We have this and it seems to be working (without the Find line) – one thought, have you checked that your EZproxy server is registered as a valid IP address with the service provider?

Regards,

Tim

Thanks Bruno.
You are right the replace line is not accurate.

I have removed it and it still requires me to enter username/password to gain access.

I am aawaiting reply from vendor for assistance.
