Boiling IS known to destroy remedies. I do know that *storing* remedies near a microwave oven is not a problem. But then modern microwave ovens do not leak microwave energy anyway.
Also, remember that microwave "radiation" has nothing to do with radioactivity. The waves merely radiate (go in all directions) till stopped by something - like the oven walls.

Was a proper study done and how was it determined whether or not remedies were affected?

 Hi Nathwani,

Here it is. I have wished that much more were said about the cell phone issue! It has just this paragraph: "The radiation from a mobile phone, however, even when 25 cm away, destroyed the energetic nature of the potentised throxine – it could no longer slow the tadpoles rate of growth. This is information is obviously important for those of us who would like to carry remedies in our bags with a mobile phone – they can be damaged."

Ever since reading this I have been in battle to keep remedies and cell phones apart -- with frequent slips.
Had anyone here made observations about cell phone exposure either negating remedies or not -- is it always / sometimes / occasionally? Is it immediate / eventual…?

Does this imply we can put our remedy bottles in the microwave, nuke them for a few minutes to ensure there is no remedy imprint in the glass?

Thus we can safely reuse glass remedy bottles?

I do / did understand the difference between a remedy "state" and the ICT -- but found it odd that he'd have *acquired* such a state so young, without having yet been out of his "nest" -- so far as I could tell. But maybe he had. By the time I saw him, mama had abandoned him and his (very mellow) sister.

Thanks for laying out your FIP case and thinking behind it -- so interesting!

Hi Shannon,
It doesn't matter. You start with the symptoms presenting and use a simillimum. Whether you happen to know what the ICT is for the individual or not, at that point, is immaterial. If the ICT is separate and needs work later, it will present itself as such.

Once in a while (twice now in several years) I have seen a complicated case where a simillimum looks almost perfect, and the ICT has everything missing from the simillimum. I happen to be doing that kind of case this week by pure chance, so I'll describe it a bit. I AM using both remedies alternating. As I say it is very rare to find such a case.

Does everyone understand that this comes from the Repertorium Virosum?
Ardavan Shahrdar repertorized the major symptoms of the major viruses and
made a repertory. This is the from the MM of that work.

We are teaching a course on how this all works. I have videos up at
http://tokyohomeopathy.com/homeopro explaining what is behind this
research. The course is at http://secondtimeshahrdarcases.wikispaces.com
I am putting up videos explaining Dr. Shahrdar's dense powerpoint lectures.
We are about to start case 1, but the course is designed to be done at
your own pace. (my pace of putting up lectures is my current problem).

Thanks Irene! I will file this away.

How do you decide/determine whether the initial needed remedy is ICT or
just "the first layer"? I used to have a cat who seemed clearly Stram
state from first time I saw him, at about 5 weeks -- scratching and
spitting from his little hidey-hole. As he grew up he mellowed a *little*,
then a traumatic injury sent him into very full-blown stram state, at which
point I finally gave it, with amazing result, he was like a different (and
much happier) cat!

Later he needed Puls, and did well on that. (I have read that Puls is
"often underneath" a chronic stram case.)

I assume that if he had been stram ICT, there would not have been a second
remedy picture coming out, just health and balance until need for more
stram? There was no apparent cause of the "second layer"; it just seemed
to be his path toward cure.

An interesting case!

So we have MALE, Aversion to Coition as our prime rubric.

You see during sex, the male must take an active part and must achieve an
erection which should last a reasonable period. And if he cannot perform
this active role, then his maleness comes under question.

So we need to build a bigger picture to be able to come up with a suitable
remedy.

Based on "six years ago he went abroad, caught a fever and ever since he's
had this problem", we need to know what type of fever he got and was it
really a fever.

You see he may have picked up an STD and for cultural reasons may not have
even gone to have it treated. So out of fear of giving it to his wife and
then being found out, he would avoid coition with her at any cost - even
actually hurting her feelings etc.

So you need to delve into this matter with some tact and get the real truth
out of him.

There other question is that whether this laugh is a pretend laugh, or one
that he cannot control himsel

Shannon,

First, hello Shannon, nice to meet you.

Will you please send me the link (if it's a link you're reading from) to the exact source you are using for the rabies miasm? I have only three source books, 1) "Organon of the Medical Art" edited by Wenda O'Reilly, which I have not finished reading in entirety; 2) the Clarke "Practical Materia Medica," which I have great difficulty understanding; and 3) the B. Jain Publishing version of the "Repertory of the Homoeopathic Materia Medica and Word Index" by Dr. Kent, reprint version 2000.

Yes!!!

I just sent a message to the group suggesting how I think it might work best for us to start. I am somewhat visually impaired when reading a computer screen (LOL... and yes I should put that into my list of symptoms!).

I was thinking that I should send the Word doc to your personal e-mail address, with your permission, and could you give me that address please? I've started, but not gotten too far.

Mine is victoria two (the number 2) dc ---- all one line---- at comcast dot net

Thanks Shannon.
