Dear Eco,

We are so close to making marijuana history we can smell it.

Today, the Colorado Secretary of State informed the Campaign to Regulate
Marijuana Like Alcohol that the campaign is less than 2,500
signatures short of qualifying for the ballot with 15 days left to collect!
The finish line is in sight, and we hope you will *help the campaign cross
it <http://control.mpp.org/site/R?i=lr-cAh_gcVABbRB6PZHotQ>*.

The first phase of the signature drive lasted six months and produced more
than 83,000 valid signatures. This was an amazing accomplishment given the
campaign's limite

We are interrupting this broadcast with this emergency info... OCCUPY WALL
STREET.

The drug war is part of the prison-industrial-complex. Which is part of the
machine for ruling America.

This is one of the best, most understandable, pages I have seen on wealth
and income distribution in the USA. Feel free to pass it on. It is hard to
find reliable info combined with good understandable charts. The author is a
professor, and the article has references with many links.

I used Firefox "Save page as" from the file menu. Then in the "save as
type" form, I picked "Web page, complete". I put them all in one folder.

Windows 7 has built-in zip compression (or use freeware 7-Zip). Right-click
folder. Send to "Compressed (zipped) folder".

Click to unzip (or use freeware 7-Zip).

Texas Tax System Heavily Burdens Poor Residents. August 19, 2011 by
Laura
Bassett. Huffington Post.

Ever since Ronald Reagan and Trickle-Up Economics the USA has favored the
"Divine Right" of the Wealthy Aristocrats.

The poor and the middle class get poorer, and their children go to jail,
mostly because of the drug war <http://corporatism.tripod.com/majority.htm>.

And they pay for it too:

forget that during a most prosperous period, the 1950s, the U.S. paid less

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- While California's marijuana ballot initiative is
garnering a lot of attention this election cycle, Gallup finds that
nationally, a new high of 46% of Americans are in favor of legalizing use of
the drug, and a new low of 50% are opposed. The increase in support this
year from 44% in 2009 is not statistically significant, but is a
continuation of the upward trend seen since 2000.
