    <description>Hi Raffaele

First of all you need the LiteStep binary files. These can be
downloaded from http://www.lsdev.org/doku.php?id=lsdev:downloads

Then you need to make LS the default shell by changing some registry
entries. Read this to learn all about that:
http://www.lsdev.org/doku.php?id=lsdev:discussion:explorer_takeover

You now have LiteStep installed and working. But you won't be able to
do much with it since you have no modules and no themes.

Most (all) themes these days depend on OTS2. OTS2 is just a collection
of folders, configuration files and utilities. You can read about OTS
here: http://o-t-s.sourceforge.net/

On a normal computer, LOSI sets all of this up for you. How you would
do it on embedded XP I don't know.

To get the right folder structure with the correct files and
everything the easiest way is probably to copy the LiteStep folder
from a normal computer that has LS installed already.

<description>hallo i would like to try to use LS as a shell in a XP embedded runtime,
the best way to achieve this is to "componentize" it: hence i should
know which binaries, core operating system files, or registry entries
that are required by an LS installation in order to work properly.
Could you point me to any resource?
Has anyone of you heard of any componentized-LS before?
Thanks in advance,

<description>Well, I work a lot for LiteStep more than most people know this time :-)

Currently I translate the release notes from cvs to get some more and up to
date documentation for LiteStep.de This should be a good starting point for
the project finally.

But for me it's more easy to translate a text from english to german as the
other way round.

so if anybody read this post it'll be a pleasure if he/she join LiteStep.de
just to look about me and my mistakes in spelling and in grammer of the
english posts. Just every now and then :-)

Usually anyone should be able to do this at LiteStep.de but nobody does so
I've disabled the feature for live publishing on LiteStep.de

If there will be nobody I'll be able to do this if I have some more time,
too.

Thx

Joachim at LiteStep.de

I'll be done at the end of this week at least.

The image rotator will be a part of the shell section and it couöd be
adjusted as easy as posible if the site is online at LiteStep.com.

If we'll make it smaler we need useful content for the shell part of the site.

Any Idea?

<description>I would like to see that too.

Also, the giant Flash slideshow... Move it somewhere else. It's not a
good thing on a font page, especially as the first and only thing you
can see on arrival. It may appear cool, but it's more annoying than
useful... It steals the mouse wheel input on Firefox (possibly other
non-IE browsers too), and at first it appears to be the only content on
the page.
A wise web developer once said if you can't do it with CSS and HTML,
don't do it.

The question is about the installer logo et the top of this template.

I'm not realy a graphic artist but I like this logo. If someone out there

Nice work. The three large icon link boxes is close to what I was
imagining.

Personally, I'd move the "our news/what litestep is" box to just below
the top menu bar, and remove the flash screen shot rotation from the
front page. Then put the flash/screen shows under the "LiteStep Shell"
link.

Could you do a version with the layout like that?

Also, please note that the proper capitalization of LiteStep is
"LiteStep" - only the L and S are capitalized.

For details see: http://www.lsdev.org/bugs/view.php?id=34

Anyway, great work on this. I'll wait to hear back from the other Dev
team members if this is the type of page we are interested in having.

Have some creative freedom with it. What I was picturing is what I
described... nothing too defined. Once you have a base concept mocked
up, we can refine it from there.

That'll be great if you get something put together, thanks! Try to keep
the (x)html/css simple. We'll probably put it under version control for
managing updates to the site.
