If you have a reverse proxy in your config... then it might be the cause.
But please share your logs in the bugtracker.

Have yet to figure out the behavior causing the problem(s) so can't seem to
reproduce. Basically a bug is hit and cherokee-worker's CPU usage goes
through the ceiling. The server becomes unresponsive and crashes shortly
thereafter.

I think the errorlog (without backtrace) isn't helping much. So if you do
have a way to reproduce glitches let us know.

<pre>All,

I'm presently trying to host a WebDAV application behind Cherokee (reverse
proxy) and communication works, except that the WebDAV client needs to send
an 'If header' and this header is seemingly being dropped within Cherokee.
This page: http://www.webdav.org/specs/rfc2518.html#rfc.section.9.4.5mentions
this is the expected behaviour of HTTP for non-understood headers,
but is there some way to allow Cherokee to recognise this header and
prevent it from being dropped?

Thanks in advance.

Becoming a Debian Maintainer is quite easy and straightforward, it
should not take you long at all. Becoming a Debian Developer takes a
bit more, but you don't really need that. I need you to work a bit on
the Debian policies, but yes, I'd be most willing to advocate you to
become a DM.

Cherokee was removed from Testing back in November, and has been
removed from Unstable yesterday. But you can introduce it as a new
package without changing the packaging. If you become a DM, I can
sponsor you the first upload, and afterwards you can take care of it
by yourself.

I can keep the debian version too.
But the debian maintainer process is a little bit long and I haven't time
to keep up with it.

I see the removal from debian has been requested and I don't know if that
can be reverted so I can fix the reported bugs on time and do the process
to become a debian maintainer.

As you can see :

I've asked the procedure to adopt the debian package ..

They can. However, the Ubuntu packages don't have a proper maintainer
(that is, the Ubuntu packages are the ones I built). Leonel has kept
up a PPA, which is an unofficial repository, but his repository is
more concerned with following up newer Cheroke releases than following
on users' bug reports and backporting fixes to an old release. So,
that maintenance is unfit either for formal Cherokee releases
(specially LTS) or for Debian.

<pre>Hello,

I was looking to see if the old cvs-repository for cherokee is available,
to be able to look at commit history from before April 1st 2006. The git
repository has history from git and subversion up to
https://github.com/cherokee/webserver/commits/master?&amp;page=137 . Does
anybody know where I can get the CVS history of cherokee from 2003 until
April 1st 2006 ?

I have been analyzing the usage of the c pre-processor to manage
variability in cherokee, by looking at the code structure and change
history and would love to be able to run the analysis on the changes from
years 2003 until 2006 as well.

<pre>Hi,

I don't want to make it sound as a "me too" here — I truly believe
Álvaro and his team are working hard on making Cherokee move on to the
future. However, I have come to the (sad but needed) decision to
request the removal of Cherokee from Debian for the upcoming release.

As I said several months ago, I have not had time to debug some
problems¹ (minor, moderate and big) that have piled up with my Cherokee
packaging. I also lack the main motivation to do this: I am no longer
using Cherokee for any of my production servers.

I requested for potential Cherokee adopters back in November², and
although there are two replies to it on the bugtracker (plus a couple
I got by private mail), I have seen no real action backing them.

Cherokee has not been considered for Debian Testing since November,
due to it having important bugs open. As I have not seen any movement
on it, I think the most honest answer to its users is: Go to the
upstream authors. The maintainer in Debian is not doing his job, and
nobody i</pre>
