Dear Hannes,

Would it be possible to know how work on this is coming along?

Best wishes,

Building from source

<pre>Hi,

As I can't get XMeeting 0.4p2 to work at all with our Tandberg C60s I
am trying to build from source to try and figure out what could be
causing the problems.
I have been trying to get various targets to build for about an hour
now with little success.

Most of the problems seem to be due to a reorganisation of the pwlib
and opal libraries with no corresponding updates to XMeeting.
Has anyone got this software to build with any versions of pwlib and
opal (I have been trying with HEAD sources for each).

This used to be a good app but lately I'm not seeing much activity
which is a shame given the effort that had gone into it and the lack
of any alternative.

<pre>That fixed it.
Thanks.

No problem Ken it's easy.

They are here...
~/Library/Preferences/net.sourceforge.xmeeting.XMeeting.plist

~ means the your home folder (or directory) and all home folders are
located at the base of you hard drive in a folder called "Users".
Home folder name is usually the UNIX shortname you logged in with.
For example... yours will likely be kenfox or kfox.
You can also tell this is you home folder in the Finder. Look in the
users folder and you home folder will have an icon of a house.
If your using Terminal and command line you can "cd ~ " &lt;no quotes&gt;
and it will take you there.

Just need move the file net.sourceforge.xmeeting.XMeeting.plist file
to the trash.

Then run Xmeeting again and it will behave as if it were new install
and ask you setup questions again.

Hope this helps.

<pre>Steve,
Thanks for the response. Photo Booth and other applications can use the camera. I have tried to make sure nothing else is using the camera. I am not sure how to delete my preferences.

Thanks.

Can other applications use the video camera? Like iChat, Photo Booth
or Skype?
If no then something is up with the built-in driver or your video
camera.

Are running another application that is using the video camera at the
same time an Xmeeting. Can't do that.

You might try deleting you Xmeeting preferences ~/Library/Preferences/
net.sourceforge.xmeeting.XMeeting.plist

Also check your console log to see if it gives any tell tale sign of
what problem is.

Does work as I have used with a Macbook Pro with 10.5.8 and now 10.6.1.

The version of Xmeeting I just installed, Version 0.4p2 is not getting video from my Built in I sight. When I go to preferences - video input, preferred video device is built in i sight. Under tools - audio video controls - I get no device under video and no option to change.

I have a MacBook Pro with OS X version 10.5.8

Any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

on a mac. I have the t38modem program, but it needs OPAL. When I tried
to get OPAL to compile, it failed, and the documentation lead me to
xmeeting.

Now, t doesn't appear that xmeeting does fax, or t38, and it doesn't
appear that it provides libraries that other applications can use. Is
there an easy way to do this? or do I need to tear this apart myself?

thanks.

<pre>I am one of those with an issue with XMeeting and Snow Leopard.
Following the earlier threads, I can get it to open fine. I can make
connections, see the away conferences, control the far camera, hear,
and make myself heard. But, the other side sees a highly pixelated
image of what my camera caught at the first connection moment. Then,
while it looks like it's frozen, it's actually "progressing" at a rate
of a frame per...minute? I see this in both connections to another
user using a 10.5 OS running XMeeting and a new polycom system.

I upgraded to 0.04p2, and then downgraded to the previous version.
Identical behavior seen in both.

I see posts, but no response from the developer(s). Is there hope? Is
there a plan or an understanding of how to resolve this?

thanks...XMeeting has been a great tool.
