I don't know if it's poor record since then is because of gstreamer issues or because of pitivi proper. After years of disappointment I've moved on to kdenlive. Each sequence has to overlay the sequence before it by about 2 seconds, so that the next phrase starts flying in as the last phrase is passing by. At that point where the new video sequence starts the sequence that is currently ending throws a blank frame. So there's this "flash" or "jerk" looking motion on each phrase as they are leaving the screen. I've tried trimming all the opacities of every sequence down to 95 or 97% (suggestion: rt-click and edit or copy/paste attributes on sequences sure would be nice, otherwise there's no easy way to set the opacity to an exact number consistently).
