<pre>Hello,

I've found the same problem here, it used to work in previous versions
of ffmpeg but not on the latest compiled version. However, VLC media
player also plays the stream. It may also depend on what libvpx version
do you have.

<pre>Hello,

Live webm streaming works great by using this configuration
http://ffmpeg.org/pipermail/ffserver-user/2012-April/000185.html in
chrome/chromium, but it does not work in firefox. Well it loads first frame
and keeps buffering, but that's it.

I have been using stream-m for streaming webm for a while, and it works in
both of these browsers, but I wanted to migrate to ffserver.

Do you have any idea what could be wrong or any idea how could I debug
this? I have wireshark dumps of stream form stream-m and ffserver, but well
i don't know webm format so it's kinda hard for me to debug.

Thanks!

<pre>I found my problem and the solution was very easy. All I had to do was add the
following line to my ffserver configuration file.

AVOptionVideo flags +global_header

The “flags +global_header” info is used to force ffmpeg to spit out some
important specifications in the SDP it generates. ffmpeg places global
headers in extradata instead of every keyframe.

WITHOUT the global_header flag, the SDP returned to the Android tablet by
ffserver is:

v=0
o=- 0 0 IN IP4 127.0.0.1
s=No Title
c=IN IP4 0.0.0.0
t=0 0
a=tool:libavformat 54.59.106
m=video 0 RTP/AVP 96
b=AS:128
a=rtpmap:96 H264/90000
a=fmtp:96 packetization-mode=1
a=control:streamid=0

With the global header specification, the SDP returned to the Android
tablet by ffserver is:

v=0
o=- 0 0 IN IP4 127.0.0.1
s=No Title
c=IN IP4 0.0.0.0
t=0 0
a=tool:libavformat 54.59.106

please let me know what is the problem:

/ffmpeg$ ./configure --arch=arm --cross-prefix=arm-none-linux-gnueabi-

*error:*

C compiler test failed.

If you think configure made a mistake, make sure you are using the latest
version from Git. If the latest version fails, report the problem to the
ffmpeg-user-pYd9yefT/acdnm+yROfE0A&lt; at &gt;public.gmane.org mailing list or IRC #ffmpeg on irc.freenode.net.
Include the log file "config.log" produced by configure as this will help
solving the problem.

My ffmpeg and ffserver configuration files are included below. If
someone has successfully streamed H.264 content to an Android tablet,
can you share you configuration me with?

Thank you in advance,

Note, I captured a video on the Android device and played it back just
to verify that I had a good video file. I then transferred the file to
my Ubuntu desktop. I send the video content to ffserver using the "copy"
codec, in other words, no transcoding of the content at all.

<pre>I am running ffserver on Ubuntu 12.04LTS and VLC on the same machine

response. This is causing streaming sessions to be stopped.

Analyzing the RTSP protocol units, I noticed that ffserver is returning an
RTP port number and RTCP port number that are not sequential. Here is
the SETUP message and the response.

----------

SETUP rtsp://10.10.10.143:7654/4Di.sdp/streamid=0 RTSP/1.0
CSeq: 4

----------

The VLC client uses sequential port numbers as I would expect but ffserver
does not (rtp port is 41558 and rtcp port is 45069). This is resulting
in an ICMP message since the VLC client is trying to use an unused port at
the server. Here is the wireshark trace:

streaming capture problems

<pre>I want to test streaming on an Amino device.
It uses ffmpeg to play local videos or videos using http protocol.
The problem is that it doesn't play streaming (rtp, rtsp..)

For example, The server is streaming a video (rtp://225.0.0.1:5004) with vlc program.
We test in other device with vlc and it captures well.

I tried to exeucute ffmpeg -i rtp://225.0.0.1:5004 on the Amino device but this error appears:
"rtp://225.0.0.1:5004: No such file or directory"

This is the full output message:

ffmpeg -i rtp://225.0.0.1:5004

I want to convert it to .ogg file and preserve its:
audio/video parameters like bit rate aspect ratio and amount of pixels, but
when I try to encode it with ffmpeg it always lowers audio/video bit rate.
can you tell me a commend that will output a similar file like the source
is
