It's Greek to me, but the fact that it is XML promising; the various Office
file formats are as well, so there may be some commonality. I'll file a
request to support OneNote files. No clue when or if it will happen, but it does
sound very useful!

Not that I've seen. It would be interesting to see what their file format is
like; if it follows the general structure of the other Office formats it would
possible for us to add support to the Commons doc merge engine.

Against a late model server they are generally unnecessary. -t told Perforce to
propagate the filetype. With a modern server, as long as the integ 3 engine is
turned on, a resolve will be scheduled to handle any filetype differences.

The -i flag is used to force a baseless merge when there is no relationship
between the files.

what set of commands it uses to perform its actions, I've hit one today
which is the one in the topic title, however, using p4 help integrate and
looking at the online documentation, I can't see any mention of the -i or -t
flags, what are these used for?

That is in fact the way that you change the change spec. The one important thing
to know is that Perforce will not store the data that comes in through those
fields; you have to catch the form with a trigger and store the data yourself.
Jobs are the only customizable form that Perforce will store all the data for.

It is certainly possible to do this - have done a couple of P4DTG integrations
myself. You either need to whip up enough support for Perforce to do it, or find
a budget to get it done yourselves if it is important enough to you...!

Re Perforce, one option is to vote here:

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to have had much traction so far!

Hi,

I'm TFS ignorant but have been asked if it's possible to integrate just
the defect tracking TFS bits with p4, leaving P4 as the source control.

I've really no idea, though I believe I've heard that MS enabled this
with Git.

Thanks much for any answers.

Thank you for your bug report. I've attached you to an existing report for
