<pre>Hi all.
WebNavigationImpl has the getDocument() method that retrieves the current DOM
document for the frame.
Is there a setDocument() method? I want to get the DOM of the page, make some
changes and then perform a setDocument() in order to render the modified page
in JRex browser.
Thanks

I wouldn't bother trying to follow up on anything from Ramakrishnan's group at
Stony Brook, since they are very secretive and refuse to release any useful
code. Consider the case of WebVAT, which was reimplemented based on Mozilla's
browser. As far back as 2007, they promised to release WebVAT as open source (
see http://www.cs.sunysb.edu/~borodin/publications/ICDAR07.pdf ), but 3 years
have gone by, and they still haven't done it. Ditto for HearSay, CSurf, and all
of the other minor variations of the same algorithms that they have been
publishing over and over again at tons of different conferences (
http://www.cs.sunysb.edu/~hearsay/publications.htm )

Bottom line: all smoke and mirrors. Move along, there is nothing to see here.

problem loading DLLs on AMD64 Windows Server 2003

<pre>My goal is to get JRex running via webstart on a 64-bit AMD machine with
Windows Server 2003 (Intel 64 and 64bit running 32bit OS' work fine). It
seems, told by the error output(pasted below), that the 32 bit DLLs cannot
be loaded on said machine. Has anyone run into this problem before or know
of a way around by modifying/recompiling source, java code, etc ?

Thanks

I didn't read the second part of your mail (generating images from
HTML). Try this: http://ubrowser.com/ - as I know this is the HTML
engine in Second Life. So, if you can render an HTML page with this to a
primitive in a 3D world, it must be able to render it to an image ...

<pre>Hi!

I'm only a list member (not a developer of the project), and I think
it's not really alive. The date of the last news item is September 08,
2005. As I know, the source code is distributed under GPL/LGPL/MPL like
the other Mozilla projects, so you can use it in your commercial app.
(As I know! Try to download the source, and read the license.) Because
of the LGPL license you can also fork the project and implement support
for newer Xulrunner releases. There is an other project, namely MozSwing
(http://sourceforge.net/projects/mozswing/files/), it is alive. If you
don't want to use Xulrunner (Mozilla engine) inside a swing application
(a separated window is OK for you), you can use xulrunner simply with
javaxpcom (showing a Mozilla window is about 5-6 line of code).

I think thats all what I can say.

Kind regards,
Laszlo

<pre>Hi,

I want to know what the status of this project is, is it still 'alive'

I am looking for a open-source/free/low cost alternative to

http://www.webrenderer.com/index.php?source=google&amp;term=sdk&amp;gclid=CO2m-IequJ8CFUGAzAodPFA1zg

We need a off-screen server side html to image generating software, can
JRex do those things, can it be used in a commercial project?

Can it work with new mozzila releases ?

Thanks

Can I use JRex in a closed source commercial product as a library (LGPL
like license), or it is not allowed by it's license (GPL like)?

Thank you.
