<pre> Hello to everybody,

Some hours ago, I have published the now old experimental release
v2.3.0-2013061701 of the new Microsoft Windows Installer for
FusionInventory Agent.

Please do not use that release; forget it whether it is possible.
And, whether you have installed an agent with that release, please,
uninstall the agent completely before you use other releases of the
installer. That is important because the name of the Windows Tasks used
for the new installers have changed.

   The new release v2.3.0-2013061702

      * You are able to run FusionInventory Agent as a Windows Tasks.
      * You are able to force an inventory after the installer has
finished. (The 'runnow' option is operative).

   Best regards,

Something in Controllers module seems to raise the problem. Can you try to

In Deploy =&gt; Package Management, when I try to select the file to be deployed (Upload from the Server), a small screen entitled "Use a FTP installed file" is shown.
Is it possible to include an FTP URL to be used by the agent (I could not find how to pass this information) in such a way it can download the file to be used directly from this website?

Could you explain a little more? I really didn't understand how and why the software is copied to the mirror server.

That's expercted. The agent do not support that so far.

You can open a feature request. I would be interested to know how to get

Indeed, I'd just pushed a fix. It will be included in the 2.3.0 release.

<pre>Hi Mario,

Like us, but a code snippet is required for every software. So
far we did:

Windows: MS Office
MacOSX: Adobe suite, Panic's Transit, VMware Fusion

Adobe support on Windows should be easily added.

Well, we need to prepare those snippet. So we need to know
how to get the information (registry, special file, etc).

You're welcome :)

Ok. I remember that some printers was correctly detected as printers,
but probably was some old parallel one.

Thanks.

<pre>
Hi Marco,

USB printers are identified as:
- a USB device, sometime severial when there is a scanner or smartcard
   reader associated
- a printer by scanning the printer configuration.

So far, there is no mechanism to merge them.

Best regards,

ENC: FusionInventory-Agent Ubuntu 10.04

<pre>Hi, friends!

Have a new question...
We could not find a libhttp-daemon-perl for Ubuntu 10.04 (lucid version), which is a mandatory dependency for installing and using FusionInventory agent in daemon mode.
We've indeed found a libhttp-daemon-ssl-perl, but Fusion can't use this one (it's not a real substitute).

We're following these instructions:
http://www.fusioninventory.org/documentation/agent/installation/linux/deb/

If you could share this file in your repository, this problem would be solved.
Thanks a lot in advance!

For examples, the 'LaserJet Professional P1102'; effectively the
printer are seen as 'usb composite' peripheral, have some sort of usb
flash disk with driver inside.

Ifneeded, i can provide the xml of the agent. Thanks.
