Spencer: Turn the WP-2 over, locate the backup battery panel, put a new
coin cell in there, and you should be just ducky. Unlike the M100, 102,
200, the WP-2 uses a replaceable backup battery that will need to be
changed occasionally.

I have a Tandy DT-1 Data Terminal I would like to find a good home for.  Is there anyone on the list in the Washington DC Metro Area who would be interest in it?  It is fully functional insofar as it powers up and I can get to the settings screens with no issues.  I haven't connected it to a computer to check terminal functions but I expect it should work fine.

If there is any interest, you can pick up or I can deliver within reason at no cost.

That runway, Rancudo Airfield, is a mixed blessing.

Its presence makes it possible to bring in the Radio Amateurs by air transport, while their
equipment and supplies are brought in by ship transport.  However, Rancudo Airfield is a valuable
military asset which makes Thitu Island a hotly contested piece of real estate among military
forces of the nations of Vietnam, People's Republic of China, and the Republic of the
Philippines.  Those nations have frequently had military clashes born of sovereignty disputes
involving Thitu Island in particular due to its military value, as well as some other islands
within the Spratly Islands group where commercial fishing rights, and natural gas/oil exploration
rights are contested.  Even the U.S. State Department has become involved in sovereignty disputes
in the South China Sea -- see URL below.
