Hey Nicholas,

Even compiling the ObjC code still would have meant reimplementing much of
the Apple's SDK. Turns out there is a company that does that,
http://apportable.com/ and they worked with us on getting Spaceward Ho!
working on Android.

I'm very happy that we now are able to have it available.

I just received my iPod Touch 4th Gen that I ordered, and I'm working
on making the memory usage better for the iPod. We have heard that
some people are having issues after multiple turns on that device. I
haven't yet caused it to crash, but I can see all some of the memory
usage and have fixed them. I will be submitting a new version to the
AppStore after we get some other fixes in that people have been
wanting.

Let us know if you are having issues, and leave us a great review. and
if you haven't picked up the game yet, get it today

Yes, I would be happy to be on the beta list (I beta'd the Palm version). The issue with the fleet not moving is I drag it to a planet, I can see the fleet path, but as soon as I lift my finger from the screen, the path disappears. I have learned to be very careful to double check the fleet is actually scheduled.

My problem with the build ship is even getting the slider to respond at all (the getting just one or two or a particular number is also a problem, once I can get the slider to actually realize I am pointing to it). And it is sometimes a challenge to bring up the fleet window or build window (seems to miss where I am tapping, and selects another planet or deselects everything).

Hey Craig,

Sorry you are having issues with the iPhone version. I don't think I've see
the behavior of when sending to a planet the fleet not moving. With the
"build ships", I know it is hard to get just 1-2 when you have lots of
money. We will be making a change to add back in +/- (as well as keep the
slider)

For the evacuate the planet, we will make it larger so it is easier to hit.

I haven't seen the change of the terraforming happen to any games that I've
played. If you can find out more how it is happening that would be great.

I will also send you an invite to the Beta list if you are interested, and
we can have you test out some of the changes and then also hopefully track
down what the issue is with the terraforming and other dragging problems.

I purchased this (since I actually have an iPhone now), and I have to say there are some definite issues. Trying to adjust the number of ships to build seems to be hit or miss (mostly miss), and it will often change once you lift your finger. The evacuate planet is extremely small and hard to select as well. And moving ships seems to suffer from the same lifting the finger issue, I will have a ship I am sending to a planet, and when I lift my finger, the path disappears. In addition, ugly planets that I am strip mining will magically say the next turn that you are terraforming a planet that will never be profitable. What? I didn't touch anywhere near there, and it self adjusted (I have notice this happening with some of my other planets that I have adjusted to change the balance of terraforming and mining as well, basically the balance has been changed without me having adjusted it). This actually worked a lot better on my old Sony Clie than it does on my iPhone :-(

Just for the record, I don't seem to have

1.0.2 is released!

http://bit.ly/spacewardho

The 1.0.2 version of Spaceward Ho is released. Please be sure to
re-review and rate the application.

We improved the application from the feedback of users on
Twitter/Tumblr/TouchArcade and the iTunes comments.

• Made the TechBar sliders a little bigger and easier to manipulate,
since many folks were having problems hitting them correctly. (from
Rancunier)
• Fixed Random Fleet Movement and possible random crashes from using
the Organize Fleets dialog. If you had a fleet move to another planet
instantly mistakenly, or lost dreadnoughts (from drdreric, Brett
Kessler), it is fixed.
• Improved the pinch/zoom of the Galaxy. No more mega small planets
(unless you really shrink the galaxy) (from Brett Kessler)
• Allow Built Ships to be renamed
• Allow for display of temperatures on planets colder than -99 (before
it would display as just “-“)
• Deselect a Planet if it is already selected when tapped on again
• When selecting a planet, restart the selection animation at
