<pre>Hey all,

We are going to try get an active crowd attending our regular weekly
developer meeting as attendance has slumped as of late.

Since all of the developers working on Mifos are so distributed and spread
out, this is the time in which we can all come together to get status
updates, brainstorm new ideas, and troubleshoot any issues you might having
as your build a feature or aim to check in code.

It's also a time for new developers to come and ask any questions they have
to get familiar with the project. We'll be starting up our series of
tutorials for new developers at each of these meetings:
http://mifosforge.jira.com/wiki/display/RES/Tech+Tutorials+Brainstorm

The meeting time is 230pm GMT/730am PST and details for connecting are
below:

At this meeting we'll be discussing:

 - Vinolia I Development Progress and Code Freeze
 - Random Hacks of Kindness participation
 - Developer Documentation Sprint
 - Mifos X Roadmap

<pre>Jakub,

As far as I can remember , we completed the Written Off report for the Mifos 1.2 release. The client status report was not completed in time for Mifos 1.2 and hence was to be included in Mifos 1.3. Kay and others had reviewed this report functionally but I think somewhere in the Grameen transition, this report was not included in Mifos 1.3. However SunGard had completed the testing and development of report.

Hence I think it should be included in the next Mifos 1.3.1 version.

Thanks
Chetan

Do we have any official policy regarding including these contributed

<pre>Hi Jakub,

The increase in the memory settings did not help. We now want to try the upgrade by

1. Using the JVM monitoring tool to monitor the memory usage.
2. Modifying the server setup such that we now have 2 separate servers - one for the Database and one for application.

Currently GK is working on setting up the infrastructure so that we can then retry the upgrade.

Thanks

I'll follow your advice re: the commits, and trust that Ed will be along
at some point if he wants something formal from me on the Contributor
Agreement front then.

Cheers,

Contributor agreements (especially copyright assignment) was pretty
important when I was working on Mifos regularly, but things may have
changed. I've Cc'd Ed Cable, he's the one to talk with about that now.
In my humble opinion, it shouldn't block patch review/acceptance, but it
still needs to be filled out.

I think in general its best that a commit is as small as possible but
should be complete. If its a bug fix it should be everything thats
need to fix the bug. If its a feature, theres likely to be more work
but should still be all committed together. In either case its
possible you 'committed' serveral times in your forked or local
reposistory. If you work in a branch its possible to squash all these
commits into one before merging into your version of master that you
would do a pull request from.

I am not sure if notifications are set up to notify people that pull
requests have been sent. Clearly JIRA is one way of getting peoples
attention, or email or skype/irc.

Keith.

Hi all,

There was an additional thing I've been meaning to ask the dev list for
some time now - and that is the project team's preferred method of
organising pull requests from github forks?

The official documentation covering this theme (
http://mifosforge.jira.com/wiki/display/MIFOS/Code+Submission+Process) is
quite out of date, so I suppose my questions are, more specifically:

1) Do the folks with commit rights prefer volunteers to bunch up a whole
lot of little (unrelated) small commits, and submit 1 pull request to cover
them all? (Clearly, with comments/descriptions as appropriate!) ... or just
do them in bits and pieces, 1 request per fix? Never having used Github
before Mifos, I'm just eager that I'm following a norm, I guess.

2) After my first pull request was submitted with a couple of easy bug
fixes, it sat around for a while... but as soon as I added a comment on
JIRA mentioning it was Pending, Jakub accepted them within a couple of
days. Is that helpful, or annoying, to have these</pre>

<pre>Hi Jaya,

New version of Mifos Android Client (1.3.2) has just been released. You
can download it from Google Play.

In this new version, we fixed issue related to displaying customer
details and you should be able to view Center/Group/Client details
without any problems.

Issue which you described in your repro steps are related to Product
Mix. If you try to do the same on Mifos demo server, then you will see
that saving Collection Sheet for Mobile Center 1 is also not possible.
The reason is that some clients inside Mobile Center 1 have Loans which
are restricted by Product Mix (if client has loan of one type then he
can't have disbursed other loan defined in Product Mix).

We also fixed "error account_id negative" message to be more meaningful
in this scenario.

Best regards,
Lukasz

I think that's a fine idea. Of course, I've no idea how to do that so
it would need your releasing skills.

The differences in the release should be some updated reports from
Ramesh, some ETL fixes and the release would tie in with the Mifos
release that corrected the spelling of ethinicity on customer_details
table to ethnicity.

Hi,

John, I noticed that you committed a couple of other changes after 1.3.0
release. What do you think about releasing Mifos BI 1.3.1?

Regards,
 Jakub.

<pre>Hi Lukasz,

I am able to get success by following your steps.
If I am not mistaken I was getting error for all centers when I tried day
before yesterday and for centers2 and 3 the net cash was not zero.
Today the net cash for centers 2 and 3 are zero and I am able to do a
submit successfully.
I still face the issue with mobile center1.

Steps to reproduce the same are as follows:

1) Click on enter collection sheet data in main menu.
2) Select mobile center1.
3) In the collection sheet panel date of transaction is populated as
2-5-2012 enter the same date for receipt date.
4) Select mobile group1 and mobile client1.
5) In ADM loan product change issues to zero and click continue.
6) Click continue again and the net cash shows up as 1069.5.
7) Now click submit and you get an error account_id negative.

Thanks and Regards,
Jaya
