I have a Windows client and a linux server with winswitch.
On the server in winswitch choose Configure &amp;gt; Sessions &amp;gt; "Start Desktop
Session"

Then I can choose the screen size, but where do WinSwitch get these
resolutions from?

I have a dual monitor setup, so I wanted to choose 3200x1200, but there is
no option to do so.
I can however start 'vncserver -geometry 3200x1200' on the server, and then
connect with tigervnc, and this works fine.
I would like to integrate this with winswitch, and have more screen size
options, how do I get this?

Sincerely

(Py)GTK 2.16 probably has this bug (and many more), IIRC this particular
one was fixed in 2.17

You could start by confirming that this is the case by running the same
environment with CentOS 6.4 and see if that fixes your issue.
If it does, my bet is on the gtk fix. Then I don't think you have too
many options, upgrading CentOS is easier than maintaining your own gtk
backports.

I can quickly add that I am not using any clipboard manager (such as
klipper), nor do I have any VMs in use. Things had been working fine under
0.8.x and before, so its definitely a recent code change that caused the
problem.

Hi,

This minor update only fixes a few minor bugs:
* honour initial client window's requested position
* fix for hidden appindicator
* fix string formatting error in non-cython fallback math code
* fix error if ping packets fail from the start
* fix for windows without a valid window-type (ie: shadows)
* fix OpenGL missing required feature detection (and add debug)
* add required CentOS RPM libXfont dependency
* tag our /etc configuration files in RPM spec file

This version includes a new Mac OS DMG too.
Those feeling more adventurous can try the new beta:
http://xpra.org/beta/
Which includes support for shadowing on OSX, lots of hunder-the-hood
cleanups and refactoring, a work-in-progress Qt client, custom window
layouts, registering as a URL handler
(xpra://HOST:PORT/?option=value), etc

I changed the xvfb= line in /etc/xpra/xpra.conf on the host by

<description>&lt;pre&gt;winswitch was not available for raring yet, it is now - though the
packages are completely untested at this point.

Thanks for the details.
Oh great, in raring, they've changed the library name from "libwebp2" to
"libwebp4". This required patching the build files and a package
rebuild. I've just pushed these (completely untested) packages here:
http://xpra.org/dists/raring/
(let's hope that the encoder bindings and actual picture encoding is
backwards compatible... at least xpra should run as webp is not the
default encoding)

As for the rest:
* python-numeric no longer exists but it is a soft dependency anyway,
this is done to avoid having separate package control files for old
distros which do not have python-numpy.

* All the other soft dependencies do seem to exist though, so you just
need to configure your system to get those packages from the ubuntu
repositories:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/raring/python-numpy
http://packages.ubuntu.com/raring/gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly
