What about disabling some new features for the release? If the GTK 
crashes cannot be solved in time, it seems better to release with GTK 
support disabled for instance.

I am still attempting to stay approximately on schedule for R14 release
per our Etherpad here: http://trinity.etherpad.trinitydesktop.org/39

As a result, I am announcing a soft freeze of TDE starting 06/20/2013 at
00:00 GMT.  If there are any new features or enhancements that should make
their way into R14.0.0, now is the time to commit them to GIT before the
freeze.

Depending on how quickly the remaining bug reports can be resolved, a hard
freeze will be announced in the coming week/weeks.

Once again, thank you all for your hard work on TDE; it is much appreciated!

Nightly Ubuntu LiveCDs now available

After a long delay, automated nightly builds of Ubuntu LiveCDs with TDE
R14 are now available at
http://ppa.quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net/trinity/cdimages/ubuntu/

These LiveCDs offer a convenient way to test TDE R14 (or the current
development branch) without risk of damaging your existing installation. 
They are currently experimental, however as R14 nears release an official
LiveCD will be released from this autogenerated CD set.  Therefore, if you
want to help the offical LiveCD quality, please download the latest ISO,
test it, and report any defects to the bugtracker.

I tested it - it seems pointless to capture new screenshots - no visible 
difference in the default configuration against 3.5.13.1. I deliberately 
referred to the pictures from the previous release notes.

It seems that now remains to wait for the finish builds and subsequent 
synchronization to the mirrors.

There are still a few unresolved bug reports blocking the R14 release, but
overall it is progressing well and I hope to have R14 officially out in
the next month or so.

3.5.13.2 will be released very shortly however, so if you need support for
newer distributions or fixes for serious bugs, that would be an option
while you wait for R14 to be released.

Many apologies for the numerous R14 delays; Real Life tends to get in the
way of the best-laid open source plans! ;-)

Although some last packages waiting to build (armel versions are build 
very slow, so it will still be a few days), it is necessary to prepare 
the release notes and press release.

I prepared some notes that could be mentioned in the release notes - 
comments welcome:

+ many SAK fixes
+ many desktop lock fixes
+ some taskbar improvements
+ many kickoff menu improvements
+ speedup at session termination

+ support for automake 1.13
+ support for clucene 2.x
+ support for libwpd 0.9
+ support for mp4v2
+ support for ruby 1.9
+ support for xine 1.2

I updated the press release, which was used for 3.5.13.1, please check it 
in Etherpad.

because it is currently being prepared for release 3.5.13.2, I need your help.

At this time builds final packages that will subsequently be synchronized to 
the mirrors. During this we should prepare release notes and press release.

Updating GIT tag for v3.5.13.2

Hi all.

If you are using GIT, you probably noticed last week a new tag v3.5.13.2. 
Unfortunately, shortly after tagging modules we found several FTBFS with 
newer versions of the distributions. For this reason, it was on a few 
modules tag removed, pushed a few patches and created a new tag.

If you got the wrong tag, and want the new one, please delete the old one 
and fetch the new one. It is necessary to do it for each of affected 
module by doing:

    git tag -d v3.5.13.2
    git fetch origin tag v3.5.13.2

Or, more simplty, collectively for all modules:

    git submodule foreach "git tag -d v3.5.13.2; git pull"

The affected modules are:

    main/libraries/libkipi
    main/libraries/libksquirrel
    main/applications/bibletime
    main/applications/gwenview
    main/applications/kaffeine-mozilla
    main/applications/kbfx
    main/applications/kchmviewer
    main/applications/koffice
    main/applications/kvirc

There are new updates available, don't really want to update unless 
necessary.. so why the updates?

Thank you for your effort and testing. Pushed to GIT in hash c830701a and 
also into v3.5.13-sru branch. I'm glad that we discovered soon enough 
that the previous proposed patch was incorrect.

Note: This could be the last patch before freezing source code for 
3.5.13.2 - leaving aside the patch for increase version in tdelibs :)

Cannot seem to "get it" on your wiki registration....no matter
All I wanted to do anyway was post or have someone else post
a link to a brand new debian wheezy live cd with trinity for the front end
