As I wrote, there is initial support for a rem2ics.pl replacement and
adding ical2ram should be easy. Distributing it separately needs some
work as it uses one data structure which is Radicale specific atm.
Still, moving the core into a separate lib sounds like a nice goal for
the future.

Afaik this is already possible with rem2ics.pl. Just to get this
straight, these adapters let Radicale use remind files as a storage
backend, so you don't have to push them to an other server.

Thx, it's on my todo (send a pull request if you need it changed sooner
;) ).

Cheers Jochen

<pre>
Cool!

Is it possible to rip the core code out of Radicale and ship it
separately then use that code (probably conditionally since it'd be a
brand new project)? I just glanced over the code and I'm not sure how
much work this would involve.

It'd be nice to have a utility I can use with DAVical (which I use) or
whatever storage server becomes popular (I can see folks wanting to be
able to pull/push directly from iCloud or Google for work or family
syncing.

FYI, I also see a hard-coded Europe/Berlin TZ in the code.

To me, this isn't a big issue (though I do have issues with abook and am
looking to replace it), but maybe it is for someone else.

Remind CalDAV adapter release

<pre>Hi,

I've just pushed the first version of my Remind CalDAV adapter to
Github:
           https://github.com/jspricke/Radicale/

I've used the Radicale CalDAV server as a base and added a special
storage adapter to translate between the remind and iCalendar syntax.
What's working:
- Two way sync between CalDAV and remind (tested using the aCal app on
Android resp. sync into the Android calendar using the CalDAV Sync
  Adapter).
- Initial support for a standalone mode to convert from Remind to ics
  (rem2ics.pl replacement).

Please not that this is tied to a Abook adapter at the moment, so you
need to set up a fake file for that adapter as well, if you don't use
Abook. Patches to disentangle this welcome!

Have Fun

Jochen

<pre>Don't know for sure, but I suspect remind is looking at time of the file's
last modification or similar. If the file hasn't changed, no popup. Just a
guess. I faced a similar situation one time and added a "touch &lt;filename&gt;"
command so that Remind would see it as modified.

<pre>Hi Guys,

I had remind set up and working with both general reminders and time
specific reminders.
I'd get a popup at the start of the day with all the general reminders
and then another popup just before an event, reminding me to do
something right then.

Well, I had to do a reintall and thought that I had everything back in
place. It seems I don't.

My general reminders are working fine.

I can't get any timed reminders to popup.

If I run the commands listed below the first command works as it
should. The second command does not. Specifically when I hit return in
the terminal, I get nothing. No command prompt, just blank.

Does anyone have an idea of what could cause this?

-default "OK" -center -font "serif 16" -fg "#231" -bg yellow -wrap
