When I tried to register at the manjaro bugtracker (
http://bugs.manjaro.org/index.php?do=register) powered by Flyspray, I got 
this message several times:

Completely unexpected exception: Address in mailbox given 
[opinioncontrol-Re5JQEeQqe9fmgfxC/sS/w< at >public.gmane.org] does not comply with RFC 2822, 3.6.2.
This should * never * happend, please inform Flyspray Developers

I did not enter a Jabber ID nor did I wish any notifications, timezone was 
GMT.

SOLVED:
OK I thought I should try to turn on the notifications, so when it tried to 
send a new user email it would be able to send.

So this error was because I did not have email set at all..

mail notifacation is turned off but it must be trying to send on new add

Dear Flyspray Team,

I've got a question regarding the themes and paid distribution.

Can I sell handcoded Flyspray themes (that I made on my own) via 
Themeforest market or is this prohibited?
After reading your licence Im not 100% sure that I can distribute new 
themes via TF.

If yes - then can I/need to attach whole package containing the Flyspray 
software + theme (CSS, images, template files) or just the theme (CSS, 
images, template files)?

I'm really excited to see this in Flyspray! I like your direction.

Question/clarification regarding the Roadmap. I see two values on the 
Roadmap: Total Estimated effort and Total Actual effort. Will you be 
including a *Remaining* Estimated time to completion based on open tasks? 
Is this what you were suggesting in your Future Enhancements #6? I think it 
would be useful to see the remaining estimated time (and end date) based on 
open tasks, even if it's just linear "man hours" remaining. 

To account for parallel development (multiple developers), you could divide 
this by the number of developers, but that starts to become rather 
inaccurate. You could allow the project manager to include a multiplier 
based on the team (such as estimated man hours * 0.33, even for a team with 
4 developers). You're right that this drifts into project scheduling, which 
may be out of scope for Flyspray.

Nonetheless, I'd love to see a linear "man hours" total remaining time per 
version on the Roadmap.

mimic that? Also for the effort display.


Not sure about this. On the one hand, one can surely kill two birds
(tasks) with one stone (bugfix) but OTOH the fact that I could work
for 1hr and have that counted as 2hrs burnt time looks wrong to me.


That would indeed be rather too far fetched, since the validity of the
completion date estimate highly depends on correct and complete effort
estimates and tracking being available, and we all know we are sloppy
at that.  My hint for a future enhanceme

I have been working on an effort tracking feature, all of my code has been
pushed to GitHub but I would like to have some discussion regarding the
implementation before I close this one down / continue to implement.

 

In have described in some detail how it all works below and screen shots are
attached.

 

The Write Up.

 

Effort Tracking is enabled on a project by project basis - this allows for
Flyspray to have both public and internal projects rather than assuming a
one size fits all. All of the below is only displayed when effort tracking
is enabled in the project settings.

 

I have added a new tab to the project administration page for effort
tracking which will make it easier to add admin configurable settings at a
later date.

 

Estimating Effort.

Estimated Effort is record on the Add new task page and edited on the Edit
Task Page.

Estimated Effort recording is role based.  Only people with 'Can edit task'
can enter Estimated effort.

History items are stored for when estimated ef

Have finally got a working version pushed to github.

 

For those of you who are not avidly following FS#1838 here is the synopsis
as some changes are significant and some conversation points are probably
better if more widely debated.

 

As always feedback is welcome. and fix time is available.

1) I would not have a "Add new sub-task" button on each task. It seems to
add clutter to the UI, but would like to hear other people's feedback. In my
opinion, instead we should use the same "Add new task" in the header but
when adding a new task should have an option to make it a subtask of some
other task.  Have moved to an action menu which is available on every task
view page.

2) There should be an easy way to 'move' an existing task into a sub-task of
another task. Under edit there should be a way to make this ticket a
sub-task of some other ticket. - Done see action menu

3) When displaying the ticket list, sub-tasks should some how be listed
under the super-task. Right now, they are all listed

well there are a lot of choices. Also i tried this one todo list that was 
sorta cool it had a progress bar that would be from 0-100 like we have for 
our tasks. Except on the list you could hover over and it would auto change 
depending where your mouse was so if i moved my mouse int he middle and 
clicked it would change the tasks progress to 50%. I thought that was 
pretty sweet. The only thing i wished it did next was popup a modal asking 
me for a quick update on what I worked on for that task. Just another idea 
for quickly updating tasks.
